were they not selling these of for 8 for a £ few months ago

Is it a real brand or is it one of tesco's own value brands?

They tried to do an aldi and sell things that look like brands but when you read the back of the pack it says "made for tesco stores", obviously that has failed for them and they are getting rid of any such stock. e.g they used to do "creamfields" milk and cheese, but that has since been replaced by Tesco's own milk and cheese. Same stuff, different label.

Worth a look if your in the area.

someone should stock up and take the to homeless shelters and food banks... I'm sure it would be gratefully appreciated

Bought a load of these in September from the Tesco in Cambridge when they were similarly reduced. I'd expect this to be store specific and for them to go out of date at the end of the month. Still a good deal though!

they had a hard job of clearing these out few months ago but yes at that price excellent but i think with a profit warning coming up after xmas for tesco we should all pay the full price for these to help tesco directors pay for there luxury lifestyle:(_;)

If they are less unfortunate then they are more fortunate ;)
Anyway...these would be good for that Spanish street festival where they waste tons of ripe tomatoes!!!

Buy them all and stick them in the food bank trolly at the front. :)

Allergic to tomatoes!

I think everyone might be a little allergic..... It's a secret ploy by governments worldwide to poison its citizens and reduce life span.
That's the real reason people have shorter lives.
It's also the reason you are told to eat more fruit and veg - many people still debate whether tomatoes area vegetable - this way they have got themselves covered.

Come on let's see some tomato tin castles etc :)

I would have filled my car at that price. Love tinned tomatoes, they can be used for so many things and last year's!

Yeah they should but they are so tight they would rather still charge a penny
