Remember this is only a tip, they might not be in other stores, but then again they might be.

Tesco's finest range of chrome copper bottom pots with the old handle type (which is a solid handle without any holes)

The 1 pictured is the NEW type, you dont want this, your looking for the SOLID handle type with a small dimple on it.

They are scanning @ £4.74 for the 20cm,the 16cm is £3.74

Also the 18cm and the stock pot too,i did'nt get these,as they were all gone.

Plus the till takes a further 20% off cook shop too...
I got 3 pots,20cm & 2 x 16 cm pots for £7.00 :)

I'm not sure if in every store, but worth looking out for,as they are changing from old style to new style.

These are not advertised at these prices, you have to scan to check.....if you find any can you let others know.....

As i said might be a 1 off,but i'm sure other stores would be getting the new styles and selling the old too....

Remember it's the SOLID handle with a little dimple in them.

The last 4 digits of bar code are 5979 also 5719.

These are Gauranteed for 10yrs.

I hope someone else finds them too.

Mines was from the Silverburn store.

Please don't vote this hot,as this might just be a 1 off, wait and see if they are out there.

I only wanted to offer the info :)
- hotscot

Still out there after 2 months, see post 109.....

If they've got no hole in the handle, how do you hang them up when not in use?
#2
Now it's casserole dishes,i got this 1 @ Silverburn, some left @ at the end of the aisle were the candles, frames are facing the fridges etc,on an end shelf at top....

Large 3.5 litres, with lid, brown clay type, with handles £3.00 then 20% discount at till making them £2.40 each. piccy below.....Again it might just be this store, but you never know it might be national?

The hole at the end nearest the pot :giggle: like in the piccy is not the 1 to look for,

but the old type has a hole at the end for hanging them of course, but solid handle with dimple near the bottom :) is the 1 to look out for...

 Well i have been working for 9 hours night shift....

That's a real good tip OP and many thanks. Just off to Tesco's to do the weekly shop so I'll check and let folks know if I find any.

Rep left, thanks again.

Worth looking I think - great tip
#7
Great tip as these are very good quality but unfortunately only the new ones at my nearest, North Harbour Portsmouth.

Back from Tesco with the Stockpot and the 26cm Non Stick Frypan. Both of these scanned at £5.47 (much to the annoyance of the C/S lady who immediately called her "mate" to find any more for her).
On going through the checkout a further 20% was taken off. Makes this a superb bargain. Unfortunately all the saucepans were the new type so unable to make a full set.

Many thanks again to Hotscot for posting this.

To those that are going to look in Tesco's for the deal make sure you check at the back of the shelves because the ones I got were all behind the new stock. They are identifiable easily by the "dimple" in the handle as Hotscot says.
The Stockpots were mixed with the new ones too and the only way I could differentiate was to scan them. However the reduced ones carry the bar code ending in 696303 and they have flattish handles with NO dimple in. The lids are not glass BTW.

Take care people :)

LOL never truer words my friend.
I remember walking into a chiller to be confronted by the bacon boner and the meat packer actively trying to reproduce across a pile of smoked bacon sides.
Quite put me off my streaky for ages :w00t:
Of course that was in the good old days, I sometimes wonder what they use for bedding in these days of prepacked everything.

I also remember using whole frozen salmon as bats in a quick game of warehouse cricket. Gloves required !

You tube has some interesting videos of goings on in Tesco's at night (alledgedly) :whistling:

Gutted I missed this. Badly in need of a 20cm saucepan.

Llansamlet Tesco had a couple of milk pans but Neath Abbey had zilcho of anything. :-(

On the plus side, Neath Abbey had just re-reduced 1 litre bottles of organic milk(6p)and a tub of olives(7p).

Been to 3 tescos and they only have the new ones

I am gutted, this must be one of the best offers this year.

Copper base pans are expensive everywhere you go.

Well done to all those who got em.
