TKMaxx final clearance, the yellow stickers, were being put on sale items, the already reduced red stickered items tonight, clothing was being reduced by 30%, think some of the reduced clearance shoes were down by an extra 33%, beauty:
nails inc polish was £3 etc the ciate nail polish advent calender (mini Manor) was £12.
This was in TKMaxx Elgin, but items will be subject to availability but it was more a heads up for the final clearance happening.

I was lucky enough to pick up a couple of things just before the store closed, as they were only just getting around to the clothes so they should be reduced tomorrow.

That's because there is a lot of junk in there.....
I don't buy stuff anymore in there, especially after I saw that tv expose about their rip off practices.

Half the clothing items you pick up in TK Maxx fall off the hangers - and most stuff is usually in wrong size section.

They exposed all sorts of tricks they pull...... like stuff being way overpriced on the rrp, stuff that was seasons out of date, selling seconds, lower quality versions of the higher quality designer gear and names that are supposedly designer names but are in fact made up names that are registered to TK Max themselves.

I agree, TK Maxx is just a massjumble sale. I also only go to the home section and bet you the yellow sticker stuff will all be mismatched. Incomplete items etc

Well duh. Did you really imagine a shop would be able to sell designer stuff at a much lower price without it being seconds/previous seasons etc.? Since when does clothing go "out of date" anyway (apart from say 1980s stuff)? Maybe more the case for womens stuff with different patterns, colours etc but for things like jeans and mens clothing I don't think it matters. For example a Clavin Klein black shirt from 3 years ago is still a Calvin Klein black shirt and who would be able to tell it is from a previous year?

Thanks OP! With a bit of common sense (e.g. only believing rrps of brands you have heard of, feeling items for quality, etc) there's always some great bargains to be had!

Anyone know if this clearance will be in homesense as well?

But the point is that at the time TK Max claimed they didn't sell seconds and that their clothes were not older than one season..... so they were clearly mis selling. Then there's the point that the rrp that TK Max claimed were higher than the designer clothes sold for by the designer. There's also the point that designers do make lower quality versions of some of their items and sell them at a lower price point, TKM were buying these and then claiming the rrp of the higher quality versions...... then there's the the ludicrous made up designer names with a fictitious rrp, names that were registered with TKM for the sole intention of duping buyers they were getting a designer name bargain.
You may be happy to buy from a company that uses mis selling practices to dupe their customers..... but I'm not.

I remember when they first opened and it was great shopping there. I've been shopping at tk for about 19 years but honestly the way they are now the 10 min drive is not worth it. Dispatches or not it was obvious to me that it's all over for them.
