Aldi this year teamed up with TNT fireworks for a spectacular display of fireworks from selections packs, rockets & barrages.

Prices:

Selection Pack: £4.99 - £19.99
Rockets: £9.99 - £19.99

In my opinion these look the best "value for money fireworks" in retail shops at the moment.

Glad you didn't shoot your rocket higher than theirs!

I know I'll be attacked as a 'kill joy' but I just wish these things were banned. Don't get me wrong, I like fireworks. I've seen some fantastic displays in Disneyland Florida but it pees me off when kids are setting them off weeks before November 5th and weeks after. Then there's the 'family parties'. I'm fortunate to live in a fairly affluent area and I suppose more people here have 'money to burn' but I don't force my celebrations on other people. Similarly, I don't wish to hear other peoples 'special occasions'. I know the law was amended in 2004 but it still states you can set them off up until 11pm at night. Most young children go to bed around 7 - 8pm, how are parents expected to get their children to sleep when some moron thinks the world wants to know about his celebration and so he starts setting off fireworks at 10 o'clock at night?

As I said, I like fireworks but I'd just like to see private sales banned allowing professionally organised displays only.

Here comes the backlash!

i think they should ban all corner shops from selling them or they should only be bought on the fifth anyone caught selling before or after the fifth should be fined

It's only for a couple of weeks a year. Whilst public displays can be fun they're often full of chavs and idiots. There's nothing better than throwing your own fireworks party. It's one of my favourite nights of the year.

It's a fair point tappy but there are idiots/chavs/etc/etc going about throwing these things in the streets. The less ammunition they have the better!

Buying something called a "100 Shot Barrage" from Aldi and letting it off in your back garden sounds pretty chavvy to me mate!

I'm no CHAV but setting off a 100 barrage in the middle of the night to upset some of the neighbours sounds like great fun:w00t:

im not a chav but i like fireworks but i do agree with not seting off fireworks at 11 pm as i have a 2 year old i know that it is so hard to get a child to sleep with all the bangind going on in the street as they just want to see what is going on but as i said i like fireworks just not that late at night
