This seems like a great spec at a great price, the lowest price this has been yet for this spec level i think, correct me if i'm wrong. I have the old m1210 but would very happily have one of these at this price - should be hotter than it is.

I agree - great spec with the money off vouchers.
Ordered (upgraded to WLED screen)
Thanks

Dell have altered the way the vouchers work but its to your advantage, the price now is £649 delivered while before you had to apply both to get the price to £662 so just use the up to £300 off voucher and benifit even more than before!

I went to buy just before midnight. Added to basket, applied vouchers ok and went through ticking "I have read terms, etc". By the time I got to card details the vouchers had expired. Looks like those that got one and wanted reasonably powerful laptop in a lightweight, good-looking form with long battery-life got a real bargain.

Received the laptop on last Friday. It has one dead pixel on the screen (or three if you count them as RGB).
DELL arranged a screen replacement on Tuesday. The new screen still has a dead pixel.
DELL arranged another screen replacement on Wednesday. This time it was OK.

It is a very good machine. Fast, light-weight and very quite, VISTA scores 4.0. Feels even better after a fresh installation of XP. The CPU of the machine can be easily accessed. I should be able to upgrade processor to 45nm Penryn easily in the future. The only negative point seems to be the finishing of the laptop. It is not as careful as HP Pavilion or Lenovo ThinkPad.
