Found what I believe is the best deal for a brand new Nokia N8 on confusedmobile.com. Handset will be sim free too so unlocked.

Today only - Free Nokia N8 only £22.13 per month 18m Contract

Five months free line rental (via cash back) on an 18 month contract. You can get the Nokia N8 in black, for effectively only £22.13 a month. The offer comes with a generous amount of minutes, texts and data, on T-Mobile.

The Nokia N8 has a 3.5 inch OLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 640×360 pixels. Your own widgets can be added to the three customisable home screens which can be accessed with a simple finer swipe. The home screen shows live updates from social networking sites and there’s a dedicated widget for Facebook and Twitter, bringing them into one application.

The N8 can download applications from the Ovi store via the 3G HSDPA web browser. For music addicts there’s an FM radio and Nokia’s Music Player. There’s 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 48GB) for storing your music files and the N8 can play back an impressive 50 hours from one battery charge, you can listen to music all day long.

sounds ok to me.. why is it this cold?? Even without the 5 months cashback, its reasonable for a sim free n8.

Maybe because no one wants a Nokia smartphone these days especially with this price?

Nokia's symbian too far behind the ages to compete with iOS or Android.. no matter how good the hardware is needs a good platform to run it..

Cos 1080p mkvs with subs work on a 680mhz cpu and 256mb ram on ios and droid dont they? Oh, how about being able to have usb on the go or hdmi output?
Just a pity how OLD symbian is that it had native multi-tasking and folders, bluetooth that actually sends files, backgrounds and custom ringtones since 2002. Good thing it was not added as an after-thought and used as a main selling point for a new device. Penta-band or a contactless card system like the new barclaycards in a phone wont be a thing for most people - they need 200k apps, of which they will use about 10...

The only thing S^3 lacks in most peoples' eyes is a glossy UI and a better browser (Opera 10 is good but no flash) - but would you want to keep familiarity for 100m+ previous s60 owners or isolate them with bloatware homescreens? T new qt browser should replace the old webkit thing come v2.0 firmware.

@betas this will play 1080p. The Motorola Atrix 4 dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 CPU at 1GHz each, 1 GB RAM, 4-inch capacitive touchscreen, Gorilla glass, scratch resistant display with 540 x 960 pixel resolution, 24-bit color and qHD .

Things are moving to fast for symbian or ios to keep up.
The n8 is a great phone, but my thinking is the speed at which android hardware is being developed and android os will leave nokia playing catchup.

Hmm, some serious horsepower but would hate to see the battery life on that. If an n8 can do the same with nearly 1/4 the cpu (due to the tegra being dual, net clock speed would be 4x no?) and about 1/6th the ram - shows how advanced s^3 actually is as in terms of resource usage.

Still listed nut it seems AfMo didn't but enough stock... Shame, I really fancied a chocolate pizza!

Price should have been pre cashback, but I'm glad I saw this post as it's cleared the whole CB/monthly fee up for me. Their site should also make an effort not to confuse people with a was and now price as well as the CB offers.

Daft as spanners!
