The description is a bit misleading lmao
"from S-AIR wireless rear speakers" which aren't on this model to
" (2ch / 5.1ch / 7.1ch)" Without the rear channels coming from, well, behind you!

Although its a bit out of my price range, I am pleased to see this being posted instead of those supposedly "bargains" for DVD systems. Even at £50, why should anyone buy a dvd-only system that will be obselete soon? We need more postings like these, listing bargains for blu ray systems (which also plays DVDs). I am hoping that eventually, there will be something I can finally aford.

Not sure that DVD will be obsolete anytime soon - and very possibly it will outlast Blu-Ray as a physical format (just as CD has outlasted all the newer audio formats).

This looks like a decent deal though and I agree that getting a dual format system is the way to go.

I agree that this looks a better purchase, and showing up as £406.86 for me, which is only about £27 more! Also to have it 3D ready (via firmware upgrade) seems sensible to, for those who want it :)

Unfortunately I listen to the radio a fair bit so, despite the blu-ray player and the otherwise excellent spec, this is of no use to me without DAB

With FM to be replaced in the forseeable furure by DAB, for UK national broadcasting, why are we still expected to shell out on expensive and - hopfully - long lived gear which will shortly become obsolete?

It's looking more and more like the switch to DAB will be postponed...

Don't fall for the hype with DAB.
Radio streamed over the internet (like the Beeb) is usually of higher quality than DAB. And they don't mention new sets for DAB+ either

forget this...

u can build your own seperates system for £400 and will be miles better than this... plus have way more inputs... this is only 2.1... no use for blueray movies!
#18
It's Bluray and who says it's no use with only 2.1 ok you won't get the best out of the soundtrack but y'know there is the HD picture too

Also separates need more space, more wires, more power....
#19
This looks like the same subwoofer as with my Sony DAVIS-10S system, which is HUGE!

The dimensions don't sound half as big though......does anyone already have this system?

yeh well if you were going to spend around £400 you can get a sony 5.1 system for £350 which will be way better than this 2.1 in your own home which is posted already somewhere here..
#22
Was going to post this but the mods are quicker than me but hey they do get paid for it ,good price.
#23
For those interested in the 5.1 system, I posted it earlier here.
