Got mine yesterday. Was pleasently supprised to see that it only took two days to get to my house! Brilliant bit of kit. Pen is really fun to play with. Not sure why they don't supply somewhere to keep it tho. Got a feeling that's gonna get lost somewhere down the sofa. Managed to be one of the first buying this at 399. Nothing can match this for its price. Unbelievable screen . Watched Netflix on it in full hd. Looks amazing. Dolby audio is spot on. Way beyond any tablet/ 2 in 1 that I was looking at for this price. I also tried the surface 3. And I got to say this wins hands down. Really happy with my purchase

Just found the best feature by accident..... the ACER logo on the back lights up! :)

I noticed that too. Struggling to find a close-fitting sleeve/envelope type cover for this.

Just to add, I agree with others - nice bit of kit for £400!

Pen here too. Got the one thing I wasn't expecting and didn't get what I was - a sleeve. I was sure I read somewhere that a sleeve was provide.

Yeah I'd seen reference to one when browsing but assumed it would be included in a different bundle - looked a beige colour i think.

I wonder if you can get it seperate and if so - do they charge and arm & a leg!

Feel free to do some homework.
I bought this tablet 2.5 years ago for £159. It was an OK tablet that got laggy quiet quick. There are much better tablets out there for this price. I sold this about a year ago and bought an LG G pad 8.4 for £119, a much better tablet in every department if you can live with a smaller screen. Its been posted on here for £99 from asda if you can find one.
My heart goes out to the OP ..... This is going to get truly frozen..... Let it go, let it go.... :p
I usually vote hot for nearly everything but this is a truly terrible "deal" - I've got the 3G version of this 2 years ago for £249 so this price is terrible, Samsung never issued the jellybean update for mine either so don't expect miracles with this one
Worth keeping an eye on Amazon warehouse. I got a Samsung Tab Pro 10.1 for less than this last week.

Good dealNeed to upgrade my very old TomTom One, and don't mind about just UK maps, but would really prefer something with a bit bigger screen. It's taken me a few days to suss out the different models out there (TomTom always seem to be issuing new model ranges, and because there are older versions still floating about it doesn't make it easy!), and was quite keen on a model with bluetooth, but for what I'd use it for the Start models would be fine.Did reserve a Start 60 at Halfords for £120, but compared to the price for the smaller versions it does still seem a bit of a ripoff for a slightly bigger screen! Have you seen the newest deal with the TomTom Go Live 820? I'm actually puzzled wich one to choose between those 2

If it was a bigger screen I'd be tempted, but I wouldn't use the subscription 'live' services so it probably wouldn't justify the extra for me.

The western europe Tomtom Start 20 at argos (the 'family pack') is £89, which seems the best deal - only £10 more than the UK model on amazon: Argos link

..stop comparing this camera to other larger ones with interchangeable lenses - the joy of this (I used to have one) is that it's barely larger than a compact P&S and IQ is markedly better - plus you can use a proper flash etc..

As a fixed lens, mid quality camera, it's a great one. G15 is a bit smaller still but loses the tilting screen which is very useful indeed.

Nikon's P7100 (if you fan find one .. WEX had them for £220ish) is a competitor however...it's been replaced by the P7700 which is the model I'm eyeing up, that or the Sony RX100.
for that price there are Micro 4/3 cameras with much bigger size sensors

As others have said a camera like Nikon's 1 V1 with its excellent viewfinder, larger sensor and fast AF would be a much better buy IMO - it's even slightly lighter and will save you £61 - it's a serious bargain for the spec you get.Nikon 1 V1 @ £239
Thanks for the post, it looks great UNTIL you start to read the reviews of unreliability on Amazon. Even at this price it represents a gamble, despite the spec being amazing.

I've not done a huge amount of searching but I'm not sure this is true, there's 19 reviews on amazon uk and two of them are from people have had an issue. Most satisfied buyers don't write reviews. Also amazon are easy to deal with for returns so it's not much of a gamble.

There are similar kinds of negative feedback on the G12 and nealry every other piece of consumer electronics

I'm a Canon fan but while the G12 is a nice camera I still wouldn't want to spend £300 on a camera with a tiny sensor.

The G12's 1/1.7" sensor has a surface area of 7.6x5.7mm, 43 square mm effective area. By comparison the Nikon 1 sensor is 13.2x8.8mm (116 sq mm) and Four-thirds cameras have an even larger 17.3x13mm (225 sq mm) sensor. All these are dwarfed by APS-C sensors. Canon's entry-level D1000 "crop-sensor" dSLR has a 22.2x14.8mm (329 sq mm), over 7.5x larger than that on the G12.

Don't get me wrong, this is a nice camera for the money. Sensor-size matters though, a larger sensor will have lower noise, greater sensitivity and as a result, greater dynamic range. If image quality is your main priority there are better ways of spending £300, and an entry-level dSLR will always beat a compact thanks to its larger sensor.

This is a quote from someone who gave it 3 stars though :-
"Not used the camcorder yet because it did not come with memory flash card. This adds another £15.00 to the price or in my case £30.00 if you buy two. Why oh why don't the manufacturers sell us the whole product and nothing but the product?"

wow, virtually exactly the same spec as nexus 7 apart from screen size but £200+ more... that sounds fair :-(
Is this worth and extra 100 over the tf101?
As long as the wi-fi is strong enough in your house, then the TF201 is far nicer looking / better build quality / better processor / better screen / cheaper.....

Can you still get the freebie adapter to boost the wifi reception for the TF201?
I got mine from Cooperative electrical for this price two months ago. It's a great tablet and now it's got Jelly bean it's even better.
If my TF201 has poor WiFi when it arrives, I'll return and order one of these.
However, Amazon ad. For this is wrong - TF300 is slightly slower than the 201.
