Just a shame that the minimum top up is £10.

Nice game. I bought it some time ago on PC for buttons as part of a bundle including the other games released by the same company. If the Wii U version had have been as competively priced I may have bought it instead. Actually, I think the PC version includes a level editor or something like that which the Wii U version doesn't have so I made the right choice albeit the PC doesn't have the option to play via the Gamepad screen which is always a nice bonus, in my opinion.

Heat given regardless as this is a great price for the console version.

since when? I've paid for games and just added the amount needed to clear the balance before?

You might want to double check that. I was a couple of pence in credit from an e-shop voucher and it allowed me to add the necessary £2.19 using my card. I didn't have to buy £10 credit.

I bought Tank! Tank! Tank! the other day for a couple of quid and just paid for the game - didn't need to top up anything.

I've looked high and low and have even used the search engine, but cannot find this game.

Can someone direct link?

Many thanks.

OP means Wii U eShop; not Nintendo Store. Open up the eShop on your Wii U.

No it isn't.

Starwood,

Thanks. Will try. Currently browsing on my IPad, which may be the problem...

Ok, found it browsing on the Wii u, but it appears one poster may be correct...

When I go to pay, I have to add funds to my zero balance using a credit card...and it will only let me credit £10, £20, £50 or £110!

Not the £2.50 the game costs...

Should ask you if you want to top up or just pay the amouny the game is.

Think I'll give it a go at this price.

Yeah, ok.

Had to refresh the browser 3 times to get that option, but have now bought it without paying £10

Strikes me as not as easy as it should be...

Last year's update allowed users to only pay what was necessary for the game instead of being forced to top up in fixed amounts.

Probably a one off. I never had problems on my Wii U or my 3DS.

True - the developers acknowledged that and offered Wii U Toki Tori 2 owners a free steam version for a limited time when they couldn't offer a Wii U version.
(Along with a very interesting tidbit about Valve and Nintendo nearly being able to work together on integrating what was necessary for Toki Tori 2 to have a Steam-based level editor on the Wii U. At that time, the infrastructure was insufficient/not ready to handle that. No idea whether Nintendo is or was looking to address that or not

Just bought this by paying the exact amount...

You've been able to buy downloads from Nintendo by paying the exact amount for years. Just click "Pay remaining funds with credit card" and not "Add funds". It's not difficult.
