likewise....answer is no....

too late though done now

Wow hot price!!
#7
Excellent price! The standard (i.e. non-steel case) versions are going for this kindof money second-hand on eBay, so brand new is a bargain.

I think I can resist, especially as I have Bad Company arriving this week. It's a scorching price though.

Any non fan-boys that can point out the better version? before I jump in...

Have the previous one on 360 if that makes any difference?

Reading one review it gave the ps3 version 9/10, its only bad point being 'Not quite as smart as on 360'

Ive only got a ps3 so thats the one ive ordered!
#11
It's a great price for a great game, I hear the 360 version is better though and I already have that one, otherwise I would buy this for the PS3.
#12
Great price for a great game.
#13
Multi format releases are generally better on the 360. I have both consoles, and almost always find that multiformat demos display more clearly on the 360 in 1080p versus 720p on the PS3.

I usually buy the 360 version as a result.

#15
great price but apparently not as good as rainbow 6 vegas which i loved. i have too many games to play so will give this a miss, hot n rep though
#16
I would say the SP mode is better than the first one, the multiplayer is really just more of the same (which isn't a bad thing).
#17
I'm glad I held out on the previous price at Play when this was posted. Thanks Mickster505
#18
Just bought this for the 360, thanks OP :-)
#19
If you had the 1st one on the 360 you get extra weapons and clothing when you start this one up.

It's much the same as the first one. I finished it more out of duty than because I was enjoying it though. Graphics seem worse for some reason though?

Well worth it for this price.
#20
bargain, ordered, heat added
#21
Very good price, voted hot....
#22
Ordered :)

Ordered for my ps3 rather than the 360, its an easy choice for me , ps3 (Play online free) 360 (Nope).

Voted hot :p

Only when the lead platform is the 360, in this case it is.

If the lead platform was the PS3, the game would be better on the PS3 :)
#24
This game was built for the 360, and will therefore run better on the 360.
IMO, the story was no way near as good as teh first. Multiplayer was still great tho.
#25
Yeah that's true, stuff like this is ported from 360 to PS3 so it doesn't make full use of the PS3's more advanced architecture, that's why the graphics on the first one for the PS3 were really jagged, because when they ported it they never bothered to sort out the anti-aliaisng.

No no no, see the way it turns into a ps3 vs 360 everytime :-D

I own both and as I say, I can play online on the ps3 for free, no charge, buying it for the 360 in my case cause it may look a little better (If you are hawk eyed) is beyond stupid.

ps3 online problems were in march. all the links backdate to march. the problems are now FIXED. buy the game for whatever console you own please. else if you own both consoles then get the version that all you friends have so you can meet them online.

if you have no friends online and just like to play random people and own both consoles then get the xbox version.

What is it that makes it so much better?
Is it the acheivements? the ingame messaging perhaps?

Incidentally whatever you do, do not google: xbox live not working

Why would you want to do that we all know that twice the Xbox live server had problems in Two years that's why they gave a free game to everyone.

Incidentally whatever you do, do not google: psn not working

Actually I will think you will find that it was all based on fact, and how can somebody who owns all 3 consoles be called a sodding fanboy ?

The PS3 is built upon the most advanced architecture of this generation, the 360 is was built upon a more traditional system but has more physical RAM meaning that the both of them, when compared graphically, are pretty much equal in their capability.

The problem is that at the moment the PS3 tends to receive ports from 360 titles as the 360 is the main next gen console to date, and those ports can sometimes be lazily done, they may not have ported this one directly from the 360, but they did with it's predecessor.

As for online, I would say that Live is currently the one to go for, but that's not because it's superior, it's because it is more standardised. The PS3 is an open platform which is great in some ways because if you're a geek who wants to use his own equipment then it's a godsend, however your average end user can't be arsed with all of that and so doesn't bother using a headset etc. PSN is a faster, more reliable and free network but until they sort out standardized peripherals and bring the XMB up to scratch, it won't be a Live beater unfortunately.

Thats a good price and its pretty good online co-op aswell. :)

But why o why does every thread have to turn into a 360 vs PS3 flame war? Surely we are supposed to be discussing the merits of the deal rather than that. *shrug*
