It's set to First class by default, you have to select FREE super saver delivery, you can still amend the shipping option, right up till it's dispatched!
And in my experience free delivery gets there just as fast as paying for the first class!

i'm massively lazy and can't be bothered to go to asda instore. i was going to get the hmv offer with 800 free microsoft points, however you can get 2100 separately for 14.99. So this is perfect for moi.

awful game

That would be the metacritic score of 86% that makes you say that I take it ;-)

awful game

Been playing it all day today, far far from awful, best splinter cell yet,
#12
Brilliant addition to the Splinter Cell Series...love it love it love it!!!
#13
only 5 hours of gameplay in single player, glad i pirated this one. 5 years in dev for 5 hours = massive fail. back to replay chaos theory now!
#14
Hot. Heat added.

I wish people like you didn't exist.

5 hours of single player is fine by me.

I'm going to have to disagree; for a game aimed primarily at the single player campaign and it being reduced to 5 hours is pretty ridiculous. This price for the game is fine, but pretty underwhelming overall. It felt very, how to put this, different. Chaos Theory and the genuine feeling of intrusion and sneaking was fantastic, truly a gem of a game, whereas this feels more like third person shooter, and most of the time it shoots for you! Shouldn't have pirated it, but should definitely have had more content.

Decent game, but for long time Splinter Cell fans get ready for a disappointment.

To be honest, one review said five hours- which leads to all the fanboys touting that as their own 'expert' opinion... Almost anyone else I've seen talking about it has said that there's no way you'd get through it in five hours unless you really tried hard to speedrun it. I wouldn't worry about it too much, I'm sure it's a relatively short game but will last longer than that.

Good Price, nice one :)

It's not just a Single player game, it's an awesome co-op game, so brilliant. Great game. Well worth the money.

I'm finding it hard to believe you've actually played the game. Did you notice the massive co-op story mode thats as long as the single player and adds to main story?
#23
good deal mine turned up from shopto today(forgot I'd pre ordered) I made the mistake of thinking it would be rock solid so I played it on rookie and I did the singleplayer campaign in one sitting(around 4 hours)-it's not as difficult as the previous splinter cells it more like syphon filter.
will be playing again as there's lots to unlock and free weekly dlc has been promised-btw I haven't played the co op campaign yet and that adds a few more hours-overall a really good game-kind of reminds me of the recent batman arkham game which was awesome(especially for a film based game as they are normally pants)

Riiiiiight.... Where do i start...

>Regenerating health for the first time in a SC game
>Can't hide bodies
>No sound meter
>No light meter (gray-out doesnt count, makes things worse)
>Whistling/knocking has been removed
>No more stalking animation
>On that note, no more sneaking animations at all
>No more knife
>Only one speed of moving while crouching - briskly
>No more interrogating (interrogating is back but only to further the plot in scripted events, no more funny/useful interrogations with random guards that increase immersion)
>No more "codec" conversations with your support team
>Team banter is gone
>Encourages shooting and killing everything (Mark and Execute is the most obvious example of this)
>No more witty, dry humor Sam Fisher complaining about his age
>A lot more "voice actor awkwardly trying to channel Jack Bauer" Sam Fisher
>Lambert is dead before the game starts
>5 hour single player campaign
>One entire mission from the campaign is a flashback to Iraq where the game doesn't allow you to use stealth

Splinter cell is synonymous with stealth. And Conviction is not stealth game, hence not really Splinter Cell...

As for expectations... Most commenting SC being a good game (and those at metacritic) haven't played proper SC on a proper platform, which is PC. Conviction is made entirely for console generation, dumbed down to "if it has pulse - shoot it" level... I hate consoles for this one particular reason - because of console culture good PC franchises are infected with consolitis. My two cents.

Downvoted...

P.S. Plus its not that a good bargain anyway...

>Only one speed of moving while crouching - briskly

I'd love to see you spint whilst crouching.

If Sam could sprint crouched you'd be complaining it was unrealistic.

Can't win.
#26
Have you played SC ? The proper ones ?

Sam has (had) varying crouched (from very slow, to what sam does in conviction) and varying walking speed (from slow walk to running). In Conviction it has been cut to just two - crouch, walk (run). In proper SC crouched speed influenced a lot of gameplay... Its gone now...
#27
Yes it seems they have made a good game, but not a good splinter cell game :(. Will play chaos theory instead!

Also - regenerating health? How pathetic.
#28
That i must agree with. 100% really. Wisdom prevails...

so what...ive given it a rating of 10%.....terrible controls, slow cumbersome 'gameplay' - final straw was when i was shot through a wall.....not even remotely enjoyable - its a trial and error game......not a ptach on rainbow six series

The original Splinter Cell was released on the Xbox first, then the PC.

Your argument is now null and void.
#32
consolitis
:lol
#33
This seems hot to me
#34
@lentini: Fair enough, but its only technicality. Anyone who played original franchize will say that its a PC game. And that is all that matters, really...
