If you've lots of nectar points - (20,200 to be precise), you can now get yourself a tom tom one with the pints at what they quote as half price.

It isn't really half price as you'd easily get a tom tom for less than £202 elsewhere, but is still a good deal as I don't think you'd get it £101 elsewhere.

The only downside is that you need to have saved up your nectar points for a while to have that amount! (It's taken me about 6 years to save up over 20,000 points.

To collect 20,000 points, you need to spend £10,000 or painstakingly collect hundreds of points via promo :)

Not strictly true, me and my partner applied for Nectar Amex cards earlier this year and got 7000 points each for that and then use them for all our shopping at Sainsburys so you get double points. In that case it'd only be £1500 of shopping (or £5050 of Sainsburys shopping if you'd already spent the extra points on the half price DVD's offer and got Battlestar Galactica for just 3600 points and a huge stack of Doctor Who DVDs for not much more)

Agreed fat-pudding, welcome to HUKD :)

One of many ways of racking up points...

Can someone comment on whether this model is good or bad? Thanks.

So, you saved up 6 years to get all these points to get a TomTom for just over a hundred quid, despite the fact you can get them for like £130-140 elsewhere?:whistling:

Sorry, but I don't rate this at all!

plenty of people have loads of Nectar points, just because you don't, doesn't mean it's not a good deal - nobody's going to collect the points specially, but if you have them, this is a good way to spend them. FWIW, I have not found any decent nectar deals (whereas there are LOADS of good Tesco deals) making this
