Having gone to Currys in Aintree to see if they had any of the previously posted offer by Goldenboot for £69.97 - they didn't have any in stock however they said that PC World next door had 7 in stock for £59.97.
(Currys are able to check other stores stock levels - apparently including PC Worlds)

Having hastily walked next door they did have them in the storeroom, and promptly bought 2 one for us and one for a friend.

As it is a clearance item, ie ends in 97p, it's no longer online.

Some clearance items are online...

Lots of new TomTom prices all the way down the way down to £49.97 - Easiest way is to have a look in your local store.

No, it's well below cost but gets rid of older stock that will only drop further in price.

Isn't it funny when someone replies like that and get's proved wrong themselves:roll:;-)

Cracking price if you can get it.

Can anyone confirm if it's available in other stores? Tried calling them and, for the East Kilbride branch at least, the price was £119.99. Although perhaps the discount wouldn't show up on their systems as it's a clearance item?

Unless it's priced down on the item, the price you would pay is the one on the system

Just bought from Chesterfield branch.

The box is the flat one, not a cube.

3 still in stock at ches. Run!

Hiya,

Yes there is another TomTom V4 version (very confusing) that was available for £119 - however the SKU code is different.
I think someone said on the previous thread that it had updated/upgraded software.

This one does all the basic things, we've downloaded some voice packs and put them on - it also has the speed camera database :whistling:

Thanks for the help - I popped out to my local store in Glasgow but unfortunately they didn't have any left. H+R added though as it's a great deal.

Managed to pick up an ex-dispay model which I'm quite pleased at.

I'm now following iand68's link, about hacking into the model to get IQ and lane assist

Went to my local PC World, they had one TomTom One V4 available but it was not discounted :(
#26
Hot for the price, cold because DSGi are kn0bs.

Went to PC World, they had one left which was display model. It was on the the system at £59 but the monkey that served me said the manager refused to sell. I suspect that they wanted it themselves at that price.

Went next door to Currys and they also only had the display model left but couldn't find the box. They offered me the classic at £80 (even older model I think). Wouldn't sell me the display model without the box.

Like I said kn0bs.
#27
They should sell it - most likely they just wanted it themselves - unfortunately this problem isn't limited to just DSGi :(
#28
Same here, it comes on the systme but none in stock they claim they cant seel the display models as they dont own it and its actually Tomtom's property i.e they setup the displays.

After 3 hours of messing around with it. I've managed to get it working with IQ routes and lane guidance

I bought mine at 1pm this afternoon for £59.97.

This isn't an offer, it's a clearance price, so the price should stay at £60 or decrease

Are you sure? Clearance items don't go back up in price (usually)

Not all TomToms are now super cheap and with so many models it's not unthinkable to get confused with another model...

Excellent Guide to updating the software can be found here

This should be unexpired. 4pm yesterday I purchased one from PC World Bournemouth. I got the last one with the traffic reciever for £69.97. They had 25, yes 25 of the standard UK and Ireland model for £59.97. Just ask the staff, they are pretty helpful in there and know all about the offer.

Would you please post the product code up, for the traffic model?
