Other than the hassle involved... why is this cold?

Two likely reasons.

1) You can get it elsewhere cheaper and without the faffing about.

2) It may have bells and whistles but it looks expensive when you can get a perfectly reliable Sat-Nav for under £45.

My 2p worth. I haven't voted.

Voted cold - The deal is not available for reserve and collect.

Lots of places have this for about £225 (http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.php?xProd=1410) and all have the free fuel offer.

Please could you give some advice as to which sat nav is good for that sort of budget - I really want a system but dont want to pay the earth. I have used a Tom Tom at work and loved it - they swapped to another sort (not a branded name) and it was total pants - I was driving an emergency Dr's car and it caused so many probs they went back to TomTom. Prob go wtih a TT unless decent advice points in another direction.:lazy::lazy:

The Navigo at £45 from eBuyer is an excellent unit, go and read the reviews. There are no bells and whistles. No TMS or tea-maker, just a solid fast reliable Sat-nav. It uses the Sirfstar III chipset which is probably the best currently available for speed and sensitivity.
