rrp £299.99 (although currently available for £249.99 direct from TomTom) this is the lowest ever price according to 3camels.

The top of the range model, one up from this, 6200 only really offers one extra feature and that is unlimited data but seen as most people have a decent amount of mobile data included in their mobile phone contract it doesn't seem worth paying an extra £80+ for it.

save yourself £200, use google maps and cached maps on the smartphone you most likely already own? If you don't like the idea of having to have a data connection, buy copilot for £20-£40 depending on what maps you want.

If you don't like the idea of having to have a data connection
Use the OsmAnd App. It's free including maps

Never buy a tomtom product. I followed their instructions to the letter on a recommended update and it killed my satnav - they refused to repair so I will do what i promised them I would do and warn people at every opportunity.
