Does this fit iphone 4?
#2
Seems to be 99.99.. am i missing something?

Does anyone know if this fits an iPhone 4 with bumper fitted?

Thanks for the feedback, looks like it comes with an iPhone 4 'adapter' (bit of sticky plastic!) though looks like the bumper will have to come off.
Reserved one of the last few around so will give it a try...

If you go through TopCashBack and Reserve to Collect at Halfords you will get 3.03% cashback and then if you when you collect it in-store and pay with your credit card registered with Quidco in-store you will receive 4.5% cashback - fingers crossed it will work!

Just worked when I put it in?! You must be doing something wrong?!
#6
prefer brodit myself which enables easier linking to your car stereo
#7
Worked when I added the code as well, make sure you didn't copy-and-paste the code with the extra space at the end.

I have to take the bumper off my iPhone to fit it in the holder. I also had to put some sticky back foam on the connected to push it fully back with the iPhone in place. The car kit was designed for a 3G iPhone you see which is a touch fatter. Not a problem though it's still a very good mount and I'd say for £50 a steal.

Code works perfectly - Thanks!

Nice find, reserved one.
Dont forget quidco too.
#11
Not suitable for iPhone 4 according to specs
#12
I'm sure you can get an adaptor for iphone 4's for these...
#13
This also allows you to use your ipod as a sat nav as the unit has it's own gps built in. Works with 3rd party sat nav apps too.
The only thing you can't do with an ipod is use the hands free option or traffic feature .

I have one but have ordered one as a birthday present.

HOT!

New versions of this bought from Tom Tom come with a plastic plate to make it Iphone 4 compatible. I got one as a gift for Xmas which didnt have the plate. One call to TomTom and they sent me one in the post in 3 days. Once yoiu stick the plate on it will no longer fit Iphone 3.

It includes a speaker, gps chip, ipod pin etc. More complex than a plastic mount, but I agree its a rip off. But it's still a good deal for this item in question, regardless.

;) Cracking price & even on the 'bay' its £70+ postage - Excellent !!

Voted cold. This isn't worth £50, especially if you have an iPhone 4. The signal on mine has never dropped whilst driving so I don't see the point.
#23
OOS!
#24
I don't understand.
The iphone has a GPS inbuilt, you're paying £50 for a screen mount - which are usually around a tenner.
Am I missing something?
#25
Dont forget Quidco at Halfords even on reserve and collect.

personally i think it is worth it. look at the price of brodit holder for the iPhone!

Yes its got a build in GPS chip that is better then the internal iPhone one. Also it has a AUX out that loads better then coneccting the headphone out to your car stereo. As with AUX out your not amplifing a signal thats already been amplified like you are if you use the headphone out.[
#27
@ourdave The original iPhone doesnt have inbuilt GPS and such is ideal for me. Also the TomTom software is about £45 on the App store and this comes with the software. Just bought 1 for myself :)
#28
It does not come with the Tomtom app mate you have to buy that seperate!!!!

ah ok i thought it was just a holder too lol......my brodit cost more for just a holder...looks nice though

The thing that puts me off this is that I you can't play music through an FM Transmitter unless it is a 3.5mm jack one. My Belkin adaptor which is absolutely fantastic and cost me £35 plugs into the charging port.
#33
Thanks OP. I was just about to buy one for £100.
#34
won't allow home delivery which is a pain though.
Still as i'd been wanting one but muttering about the price it's a bargain
A very expensive bargain but bargain all the same lol
