that is a good price!!!!

they all seem to be coming down

are TOMTOM releasing the 30's soon (530, 730, 930??)
#2
Yes the 30s are coming out in april some time. I was trying to wait for a new one, but at this price, i just dont know.
#3
From the little I've read about the 30 series people seem to think the changes are mainly cosmetic and the new features they are boasting about should be available on the 20 series via a software update.
#4
I bought my hubby this from ebuyer just over a month ago & paid £180 :-(

Are you sure? If i we get the lane assistant i'll be very happy :-D

oooo.....bought the 520 b4 x-mas for around £220, this is a steal......just thinking less 10% woolies discount aswell...hmmmm
#8
If these are not for general public use, you may well find you will get charged this discounted amount at a later date. There is also the possibility that as yo knowingly used these vouchers and they are not for you - YOU MAY BE OPEN TO A CHARGE OF FRAUD !!

I think fraud is a bit heavy and besides even if they do charge the discount at a later date its only £15 and still a bargain for £169.

I'd be surprised, I would expect the software for lane assist will be a free upgrade but to make it work you will have to upgrade the maps which will cost.
#11
bought on the infamous argos 'preice mis-patch' at same price from PC World in december
#12
looks great, a deal available for once!

don't forget Quidco too
#13
apparently the x30 range will use same software to update similiar features and the new models dont look all that impressive.

wouldn't bother waiting for the new (30 series) and paying £80> £100 premium.. They are virtually identical units with only a few minor improvements, Eg, enhanced lane visuals at major junctions.

Go in to store and pay by cash.....i cant see them chasing you down for £15, lets get the balifs on this bitch, they used a voucher code
#16
As has been said you will have to buy a map upgrade to get the new 730 features like IQ routing and lane assist. Theres no difference between the 720 and 730 except colour.
#17
I'd be suprised if x20's are updatable to x30's simply because:

a) People will but the x20 cheaper than upgrade and not bother getting the x30

b) Tomtom will lose out money cos of the above by not selling the newer units

c) x30 uses new version 8 software:

I hope i'm wrong ;-)

Evening All - just joined, saw this and couldn't resist jumping in, hope you will forgive me. :)

If you check out the Tomtom website, they are suggesting that major retailers will be offering 20% discounts until 31st March. This should make for some interesting stuff over the next few days and so patience may be a virtue - or not!!! :whistling:

Also, the GO720 plus the traffic gizmo, to make it into a full 720T is available from Amazon for £189.09 with free delivery.

Don't know if that helps or not but thought that I ought to share. ;-)

I think the discounts have already happened (isn't that what this Comet one is all about? Amazon have cut their prices since Wednesday too)

For those finding the code doesn't work anymore then it might be worth looking at the following, 720 @ £159.99 and free del IF you choose Super Saver option...

Theres no proof that it can be updated but seeing as one of the sales pitches for the GO 20 Series was that they were futureproof so people seem to think that it would be possible. The new mapshare thing was made available for near enough all the models I think.
#27
The code has to be in capitol letters GPS15

codes not working for me. tried with caps no luck

i think the code GPS15 has now expired.
#31
Might just buy a new set of maps (City Select) for my garmin quest. Anyone know the price or am I better to go for this tom tom?
#32
It is pure speculation that the software updates for the x20s will have ANY of the features in the x30s. I have contacted TomTom re: the potential software updates in the 530. This is what they said:

"At the moment the IQ Routes is under development as is th 530, until is is completed there is no information on which devices will be compatible. We do try and make all tomtom's "update compatible" but at this time we cannot confirm this."
#33
can't get code to work tried every thing caps no caps delivery pick up ...... any help out there
