I bought an old TomTom a few months ago and the maps are 4 years out of date, been waiting for the map updates to reduce on the website which they now have - no idea how long for.

UK & Ireland = £14.95
Europe = £19.95

These maps used to be £40-£50!!!

Also with the voucher code Welcome15_uk you get £8 off.

So that is £6.95 for UK maps and £11.95 (which I have just bought) for Europe Maps. No only that these are the Map Update service ones so you get 4 maps updates free for a year.

Amazing Deal, go on the TomTom site yourself and select your device!!!

Sorry no screenshot just bought as quick as I could. Direct download.

Quidco - 4.5% cashback

As other user suggested, please take note if you paid using Paypal Tomtom will setup pre-approved payment.

"Hermen
great deal - i paid by paypal but then noticed - tom-tom had set up a reoccurring payment plan ? cancelled it in any case - guessing it maybe authorising them to take payment again in 12 months but at full price without notice ?? "

Totally begrudge paying for map updates for the mrs Tomtom. Her Europe maps are so out of date she keeps getting lost, so its either bin it or buy something else. This is a good deal compared to their usual price but still a rip off having to pay for it.

I agree that that standard prices could be more competitive, but can't see how you can object to paying anything at all. There are costs involved in producing the updates, and like any business, TomTom offer their service / expertise to clients with a commercial margin applied.

With the likes of Here drive free on smartphones, unless you really want a dedicated sat nav why pay....I feel sat navs will be going the way of the iPod/MP3 player.

thanks. My tomtom needed an urgent update too.:-)

Great find, but what should I be updating? Whats the difference to the United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland map update and the United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland travel map???
#3
Should I go for full europe or central europe £5 difference
#4
One is travel map which is just a map and the other is 'map update service'. I would always choose the later since it includes maps for a year. No idea why they sell both

Yes or wait till your contract expires and use your old phone as a Sat Nav. I have an Xperia T (my old phone) with Copilot (lifetime map updates) for £14.99. I had a Tom Tom before but very impressed with Copilot

You can do that on Android and iPhone with Navfmii.

Great post. I have had emails from TomTom to update my Western Europe for £36 with 2 extra maps free. This deal knocks that one for 6 and I have now updated. Many thanks for posting X)

Thanks KLT5000, fantastic.
#32
brilliant! but how to make sure that we have enough space on our device for the updated maps before buying?
#33
Imho tomtom do the best satnav, but since buying tomtom app on my iPhone (which comes with free lifetime updates) for around £25, my actual satnav is redundant.
#34
if you get Europe update does it update uk as well?

Thanks for the heads up..
Ref people saying free sat nav and maps on phones etc.. Not everyone wants to use their phone like that, some of us like a seperate device.. I know I do as I find it a lot better when out in my campervan.... Maybe I am old school, however I do have the other apps on my phone as a back up or for use when out biking and walking..

If other companies offer lifetime updates then why not with them.
