Use voucher code XXC7NM for this price. Better than the recent Currys deal, which only gave you a £10 voucher back after having to spend out the £97+ initially. There's also clubcard points and another 3% cashback through quidco (£82.18)

can some body explain what are the main differences b/w different versionslike v2 and v4 etc
#4
They're just updates like ipod 1st, 2nd 3rd Gen. Or more accurately a refresh of the design to stimulate sales.

so, not a big deal to go for a newer version ....... so i think that the refurb one with "totalpda" V2 is nice one i think

is the update availabe for every version, or that need to bought seperately

What is 'voucher code XXC7NM'? What is the full criteria for use of this code?
Just bought a Tom Tom and fancy using this code on other things if I can!

Voted hot though chap!

XXC7NM - 13 GBP off when you spend 90 GBP at Tesco direct

You can therefore also use this code to get the ONE V3 EU for this price :-D

Hot - didn't think the V4 GB would go this low for a while
#11
Is the v4 the newest version?

Is the v4 the newest version?

Yes - but for the same price you can get the V3 which when updated will run the same software and the newest WESTERN EUROPE maps - not just GB :)
#13
I like the idea of this having a the easy port mount. Is this still a good deal?
#14
bargain ! ordered.. thanks

had to use the sim card trick to shave the cost of the delivery - all in all cost me 87.11 (without quidco)

Are you sure?

I thought the v3 didnt have an SD slot?

Does the V4 have an SD slot?
#17
Think it just comes down to v4 having latest software already, a bigger (louder) speaker and the new EasyPort mount.

If you can get a cracking deal on the v3 and with the latest maps already on it then go for it.

Neither do - where does an SD slot come into it?

TomTom ONE V3 EU is £99.99 @ Tesco Direct at the moment before discounts, same price as the V4 GB.

I was worried that they dont have enough internal memory for the extra maps thats all, but if there is enough, i'm getting one!

You got a link for the v3 with updated maps?
#21
with the V4 the fascia is cosmeticaly different. it is more rounded at the edges and the unit is a slimmer build. Even though the screen is the same 3.5" as other versions the front fascia makes it look more clearer and bigger IMO. Anyway is there a delivery charge for this from Tesco and if so, anyway of getting around it with codes or stuff?

So which is the best deal then?

Can you not run the newest WESTERN EUROPE maps on the V4 ?

http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.204-9568.aspx :-)

Might not have the very latest maps out of the box but TomTom's Latest Map Guarantee means you can download them for free when you connect it to TomTom HOME for the first time. Same goes for the V4 since it might've been sitting in a warehouse for a while.

You can get Western Europe working on this TT, it has 1 GB of internal memory and will run WE 815.2024 (1GB) as I have this map running on this system.

Dont forget Quidco for this. Its unclear if Quidco is 7% or 5% on top from the website.
#26
Slightly off topic. I know sat nav systems let you search by postcode but say I wanted to find the nearest supermarket or zoo, are there any systems that let you search like this or even for a specific shop like I type in Tesco and it finds me the nearest one?

Cheers
#27
Does this have the one year breakdown cover with it as well? Apologies if it's a silly question, I'm just not sure if they all have it or if it's only available from certain retailers.

Thanks

yes, most, including this one (i think!) have built in Points of Interest (POI) so you can search for nearest supermarket , petrol station etc. If the POI isnt preloaded already I'm sure theres stuff on the net which you can use to load them on.

Anyway, excellent deal. Have £18.50 of clubcard vouchers lying around. Quidco + American Express 5% + this deal = approx £60. Bargain for an up to date version :)

baahhhhh. out of stock :( Their stock checker is rubbish. You dont even know its out of stock until you log in, and checkout your backet items.

:) Taking into account my 5% American Express Discount plus 3% quidco, I reckon mine will cost less than £60 :whistling:

Also, mine's been in the 'payment processing' status ever since i ordered around midday??? Have you got a confirmation email yet?

Mine came to £61.23 after my vouchers and the code given at the start of this thread.

Email-wise, yea I got a confirmation instantly (at about 11:30am). My order status is: "At warehouse - dispatching soon".

I can't access my email right now, but My Account on the tesco web site says

Order status: Order processing - awaiting payment confirmation

Is your order status different at all?
