Why this cold?

The deal can't be verified.

Is it an individual store manager's special deal...who knows?
#6
So cant be verified so its cold?

It can be verified if people move their backsides and go and take a look before voting it cold.

Or if thats too much call your local store in morning and ask them:thumbsup:

Just warmed it up a little ;)

If people can see the offer then they'll vote.

I appreciate the tip from the OP but personally i've lost count of the wasted fuel, phone calls and legwork i've used on dashing to local stores or ringing them up on unconfirmed offers only to find there are none. In fact i've never been lucky enough to find one.

Seriously the cost of a local call will cost you 6p max. If anyone is interested in buying this at the reported price it dont hurt to make a little effort yourself occasionally to follow it up.

They were £159 with a £20 voucher thrown in at Mansfield today, so not bad for £139. I was tempted, but how long before we get below £100?

I don't think the deal was part of the 10% off week.

If so, that's a brilliant deal.

I took a Navman F20 back within 24 hours at the weekend coz I didn't like the look and feel of it compared to the Garmin Streetpilot i3 i've been using. TomTom's are supposed to be good, so I might try one at this price.

I saw this in store and yes it does not appear to be online. There were no special offer signs on it, just the regular label so it appears £159.99 is the current regular price for it - not a special offer or manager offer. This was in the York Store. If there are £20 vouchers as well then even better value.

I bought one from John Lewis a few weeks back at £144 before everyone put them back up again. A cracking little unit. Cant fault it really apart from the windscreen mount being a little temperamental sometimes.

Had a Garmin i3 myself for a year and was very attached to it. Then upgraded to a Garmin C510...excellent piece of kit, then got this Tomtom which is much slimmer and much quicker to lock onto a signal.

I got my sony one yesterday from John Lewis now I don't know what any of the others are like but it was very accurate when I used it last night also like the way that when you go down the wrong road (done it on purpose) it then changes to give new directions. How did I live without one till now :?

I'll think you'll find all sat navs should recalculate if you take a wrong turn.

Personally, I think i've probably got too used to Garmin's nice clear mapping and functionality to now change to another brand. Which is probably a clever marketing ploy on their behalf - getting people to buy into a good very basic unit (Streetpilot i3) which they then can't convert from.

I really want a new sat nav that will be easy and cost effective to put European maps on to. Aren't the TomTom Euro maps a bit pricy? I can get them downloaded onto my PC but is it easy to put them on a SC card after?

Hi

Just to confirm, I have just purchased the tomtom one from staples for £159.99 as per advertised price in store. I am told it is a mistake, and it will be rectified in a couple of days. So be quick! It scans at £179.99 but they have to let you have it at advertised price!

PLUS

You get a £20 voucher to spend in store until today. I recommend the carry case for £19.99!

I am rating this deal mega hot as its the cheapest price you can find right now!
