I just can't believe how TOM TOM manage to keep the prices up. I am still waiting to try to get a TOM TOM for £50, but somehow they keep releasing new models and the old ones are nowhere to be found at £50 or less.
#3
Good price thanks Edi! Been looking for one of these for my son for Xmas. I don't think they'll go much lower than this, this side of Christmas. :santa:
#4
Cheers Edi, looking to grab one of these for the old man for Xmas. HoHoHo~!

But what do you gain getting the v4 over the v3? Surely you can upgrade the V3 to the latest maps anyway?

And the V4 is only £15 extra here at £99.99 as I listed this morning:

We have got one of these, it is a great easy to use sat-nav.

bargain at this price,

heat & repped :)

I got one last Christmas. I think they're great....

...although I attached to my computer Chrimbo day and upgraded certain features and it 'bricked' it. Something to do with the 'map share' thing I think.

Took it back to Currys.Dig on boxing day and they replaced it.... I've not plugged this one into the computer!!!!!

ps (Hot, if you don't brick it')

Nice 1 just ordered

Brilliant navi!

I downloaded the whole maps of europe and loaded them onto it.. somehow!

:D
#12
Its not the hardware but the software that counts most for a satnav, IMO tomtom is the most up to date, user friendly and best value, this is HOT HOT HOT for me!
#13
Does this version have the speed camera data base on it?

#14

your the first ive heard to brick a tt without connecting to home your missing mapshare which imo is vital for the tt :)

I was on the internet all Christmas night until early hours. I found quite a few others...

http://www.tomtomforums.com/showthread.php?t=1776

...when you turn it on you get an orange x flashing up and the system never starts.

I'd like to hook it up to the internet but I'm a bit scared to do so!!
#16
Good deal, but I'd personally go with the £99.99 Comet deal on the TomTom ONE V4.

Fresher look and a kick ass integrated mount

I've got the V3 on a deal last year and its great, but I seem to recall a discussion at that time about upgrading these, I thought the lack of memory expansion slot meant they couldn't be expanded to fit euro maps ?
#20
So did I ^

But I somehow did it.

I firstly removed the pre-installed map on it.. then downloaded (by some method...) the euro maps online.. got the password/whatever for them to install them and then using comp loaded maps onto it. I assumed it wouldnt work due to memory issues, but it worked perfectly whilst I drove through France, Switzerland and Germany!

Yup - picked a v4 up the other week from Comet - £99.99 with a voucher code, and another £4.00 off (via TopCashBack, Comet isn't on Quidco for some reason).

I'd imagine the cpu and maps etc on this will be the same, but I liked the new integrated mount on the v4
#22
There is no difference really between V3 and V4. V3 has (or is upgradable to) 8.xx maps, which is the latest maps/OS. Previous versions of TomTom (ie Go etc) can only be upgraded to 7.xx maps.
Personally i would buy the V3 and save the £15 quid!
Hot deal!!
#23
The mount is the major difference between the two devices. TomTom made a big deal about the integrated mount, which cuts down on the number of parts you need to carry around if you change cars. Oh and updated styling too, other than that it's fundamentally the same.
#24
hi , please can you confirm that this sat navv shows speed cameras? thanks in advance.
#25
thanks for the info.. i can't see this on bargain crazy! and certainly not at the price advertised. any more deals for a tomtom which includes speed cameras? thanks
#26
now £79.99
