I would avoid the V3 - it does not have an SD slot. Not a big deal for some, but if you ever want to add european maps in the future, you can't.
#2
Is it internal memory only then? I didn't realise that...

Ordered this for the £127 about a month back for my lass from Halfords, again with the £10 voucher included which we used to get a case and a mains charger. Great price for a great unit.

Cant you jsut copy over maps into the internal memory? Not sure how big the memory capacity is.

not big enough for euro maps (unless you buy the euro model obviously)

I got one for my dad a few months ago, for £132 he really likes it.

As the v3 doesn't have bluetooth or the SD card slot it seems a far better purchase would be the One XL (which has both). Prices are around the £150 and offer better value for money or those who want good upgradability - which should be the reason we're buying tomtom over cheaper brands.

i love my v3, although it crashed on me for the first time the other day and i missed my turn off :x

i think it's a great price and i use mine all the time
#8
yep no bluetooth else id have got one for that price.

i found another way to get a tomtom cheaply recently. signed up for tesco car insurance. they sent me an email with a voucher for 100 quid off a tomtom at tesco direct (cheapest is a v3 for 150). not really worth posting as a deal, but it might help someone

The v3 Uk has 512mb. No bluetooth but you can add TMC traffic receiver.
The v3 Europe has 1Gb. No bluetooth but you can add TMC traffic receiver.

The v2 Uk and Europe has SD card slot, bluetooth for tomtom plus services like traffic but cannot be used for mobile handsfree use. If you want bluetooth for phone use the TT 520,720, Garmin NUVI 310,360 or the ViaMichelin X970T £145 here(comes with traffic receiver and European maps).

I prefer the Garmin Nuvi 300 for £119 on Ammy

Okay, wheres the cheapest v2 tomtom then?
#13
There is no itinerary multi route planning on the V3 but is on the V2,

This is a must for us HGV drivers.

Just a note to say that in addition to the above, the V3 is also missing some functionality. I can't remember them all, but it's definitely missing itinery planning which is a major negative in my book. It can be hacked to get it back (suggesting TomTom have just stunted this on purpose to make it cheaper) but you then lose some other menu items and I don't see why one should have to go through the hassle.

Good price, not the best device.

Edit -

If you buy thi suse the voucher soon as all maps are half price although don't know how many you can get on it as there is only internal memory

I got a factory rework from Morgan Computers for £100 - turned up boxed like new

This is the version with the SD slot and Bluetooth

Excuse me for being a bit thick here, but how come the link provided by chris_richardson to the TomTom One Europe shows £99.97 which is cheaper than the GB model?? Seems a bargain for the European one. Doesn't give the spec though, so I'm wondering if it's an older model or something?

It's the V2. It's out of stock practically everywhere.

It's £19.97 in-store.
