Great monitor. I have one of these (with the old style batteries that is so expensive to replace) and it has not let me down as yet.

Heat added

I have one and the battery is useless, friends have had them and they are usessless.

Avoid and go for something that takes standard AA rechargable batteries or has a Lithium battery.

Bad product, wouldn't even pay £30 for it.

I know it doesn't that's the problem, you can only get replacement batteries from Tomy, they're expensive and they never have them in stock.

Sorry miss read your reply.

They must have changed the design. Too many anoyed customers ring customer services and complaining stating that they will never buy a Tomy product again, consumer power obviously works some times.

The one I have have takes standard AA batteries in the transmitter unit (none supplied) but the wireless reciever (parent unit) has a custom battery that can only be purchased through Tomy that they never seem to have in stock.

This is the updated version (which takes normal AA batteries). I too have the one that you mentioned and it is a pain to get replaced (and expensive). Aside from this problem, it is a great monitor.
