One of the definitive films of the 1980s, 'Top Gun' is a high-octane, high-concept mixture of slick images, hard action and non-stop music. Tom Cruise plays Maverick, a young fighter pilot enrolled at Naval college, training with the most gifted flyers of his generation, and competing for the prestigious Top Gun award. Maverick soon establishes himself as one of the best in his class, but his insistence on doing things his own way soon brings him into conflict with his superiors and his main student rival: the Iceman (Val Kilmer). Celebrated for its vividly realised flight sequences, its keen sense of style, and featuring the Oscar-winning song 'Take My Breath Away', 'Top Gun' was one of the most popular films of its day.

Don't get too excited about receiving your DVDs - of 20 plus I've ordered in the recent promotion even though they were shown in stock when ordering and in my email confirmation around half have ended up being out of stock or are still 'awaiting stock'.

That said where they have delivered I've had some real bargains.

Same with my orders. I even had the status showing stock allocated but I think because one of them was really cheap compared to other places they decided they weren't going to send it, because it would cost too much in postage.

I did get some real bargains through; but I think their ordering system is held together with string and sealing wax - the orders I had problems with were placed (and I received confirmation emails) about two days before they appeared online in my "outstanding orders" section...
