Two offers that caught my attention

Offer 1
TMobile - £39.15 pm for 18 months, Phone is free, you get 800 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited mobile web

Offer 2
TMobile - £39.15 pm for 12 months, Phone is a £102.99, you get 500 mins, 375 texts and unlimited mobile web, this works out to £570 which is about the same as a PAYG handset

There is another cracking deal with the same retailer on HTC Touch Pro2, I am not sure how this compares with it

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/408137/htc-touch-pro-2-18-months-700-minut

N97:
TMobile Combi 35 12month Contract £102.99 upfront + 12x£39.15 = £102.99+£469.68 = 572.67
TMobile Combi 35 18month Contract FREE + 18x£39.15 = £704.70

This phone is available for £450ish sim free.

So up to you to decide if you think it's worth it

Is this phone exclusive to T-Mobile or will it appear on 3 Mobile in the near future? Really like the phone, but can't upgrade 'till September, was hoping 3 might have the phone by then.

EDIT: Looks like it's also available of Vodafone so maybe 3 will get it further down the line.

I can't upgrade till next march :(

Can't wait for this phone to come out, and I'm sure there will be better deals than this when it does

Not a bad deal, i'm thinking of just paying for 2 contracts to get this. However, like others have said, wait until next week and see what Apple unveils, it could be an OLED beauty..

Alternatively, if that's a little over your budget, a week later (26 June) it'll go to the networks to be bundled with contracts. Nokia says that 3, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Carphone Warehouse & Phones 4U will be selling it.

What's interesting there is the omission of O2, however it's been previously announced that the network will sell the N97 only through Carphone Warehouse stores.

hope that clears things up a bit, im on O2 so im not a happy person at the moment

if your on three already, and you started your contract at least a couple of months ago you can get out of your contract legally and freely due to them changiung the 3 at home service.

i.e a couple of months ago it was included free of charge, now they are charging, so detrimental to your services, and a big change in contract, i.e. they have broken it, so you can get out of it, keep your phone etc etc/

i have just done this, last week, stuck in contract till october, released me three  of charge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting. Was this difficult to achieve? and did you have to return the handset?

Yep, O2 did a similar thing when they changed their policy on NGN's.

nope not really, they offer discounts to try and hold you back, just insist you want to cancel, me and my girlfriend cancelled without a problem and we did not have to return our phones

a couple of days after we cancelled, the "special" retentions team called us up, they offered

a Nokia E71 with 1100 minutes, unlimited internet, free three to three calls for £16 a month and my girlfriend got a Nokia N96 with 500 minutes, free three to three calls for £14 a month, both of us signed up

I have to say that it is a good spot, but the Combi 30 + W&W tariff is much better value if you can manage with only 700 mins (only 100 less) but save you £5 a month for 18 months and you only pay £14.99 one off for the phone. So save £75 on the 18 months by losing 100 mins!

To be blunt, anyone who buys a Nokia smartphone in 2009 when there are G1, G2s, Iphones and shortly a palm pre is crazy.

Why would you make do with a symbian phone these days?

You don't have to, there are alternatives.
#32
symbian ftw

mobilephonesdirect seem to imply it's out now, where dialaphone clearly state pre-order

anyone done it yet?

Make do with Symbian phone?
For some people the range of available applications and usability of Symbian make the seemingly more flashy phones an unnatractive compromise.

Deal looks good to me, if it's something you don't want to wait longer for.

What deal is better - most Orange ones are 24 month contracts, and the 18 month ones you have to pay for the phone £79 and Internet is £5 extra - so not a better deal really as far as I can see.

Also thanks very much to rudz I spent 45 mins on the phone to three (had 8 months left on my 18 month contract), got a PAC code and no ETF - but note its a bit of a battle with CS to get this.
