I would suggest you are getting what you are paying for with this, ie rubbish tools.

I would suggest unless you own one, or know someone who owns one, you're probably not in a position to pass judgement.

I've been round tools long enough to make up my own mind, just trying to point out to people the benefit of my experience.
No skin off my nose if others buy them and they turn out to be junk.

Totally agree. Cheap and cheerful for a reason. The site can't even be bothered to mention chrome vanadium for any of it.
You'll end up rounding bolts, and slipping when things break and snap. You'll get the same quality in poundland.
Sure , they'll do for a hobbyist, but I wouldn't buy them for anyone I like.
And yes I use tools every day, and I am a qualified mechanic.
You would be far better off, spending a little more on one of the Halfords sets when on offer.

That's fair enough mate. However if there are no genuine bargains around then why the hell join the group? ;oP

I bought one of these budget tool box's in the past and when I needed to use them for serious jobs where a bit of torq was required. The bolts / spanners would fail on me. I have subsequently replaced many of the bits in my tool box with uprated more expensive tools over the years.

There is a reason why quality tools cost a lot of money.

Likewise, and I only purchased a half decent tool box the other day...

So, basically, toolsets are the male equivalent of the make up sets for women?

You know they will be crap tools but a decent set of tools is something you build up over a life time. Decent for a starter set, yes it's going to be rubbish but for the money you can't really complain.
#24
two ordered with 5% from TCB as well..
#25
and a silver Christmas jumper flamedeer to go with them as well :)
#26
Have some heat! :)
#27
They are no Snapon, however for the price they seem a good bargain -heat added!
I'm confident that if someone needs tools they will buy what they need - ergo no need to speculate on the quality of these... This is HotUKdeals after all!

Never quite sure why anyone would buy tools like this , even a hobby mechanic wouldn't use these . Cheap yes but total waste of money .

Apparently if you get this one too, with both you'd have a whole decent tool box.

Why so many exclamation marks?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just ordered a set - thanks.

These aren't "snap-on" quality, but for the average "DIY er" then they are more than adequate.
#38
Looks very poor quality, just look at the spanners. No voted
