Seems a bit underpowered for that sort of money. Vote - neutral.

Please link to a brighter light in that price range, other than the Dealextreme Magicshine of course...

All I can find are 3w units like the Hope vision 1, and they don't have anything like the battery pack included with this one.

Nope, the Magicshine is very good value for money and very bright with a P7 LED. But it's a cheap product ordered from China and you need to be a bit handy as sometimes it won't work out of the box. Basically build quality and reliability is not as good, warranty is problematical, but you get a lot of bang for your buck.

What a rip off for a bike light.
I can get a front and rear set in Poundland for - guess what a £1 (_;)

Yup, attach 90 poundshop lights to your handlebars and they still wouldn't be as bright, but you would certainly get noticed!
