Seems to be considered OK to post them here judging by these deals:-

The merchant is permitted, thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Techfurb is part of Dixons group - basically it is the Dixons/Currys/PCWorld outlet.

This website is the main one for Topfield support, downloading new applications for it etc.-

And if you install just one addon, make it "mystuff" (details on the toppy site)

The Currys clearance shop on Ancoats St in Manchester was selling these for about £130
so thanks for this.

Sorry, I may have got the last one!
They still sell refurbed ones but with only a 3 month warranty.

If you don't mind risking a 'store return' for a tenner less they have half a dozen of them:-

Don't suppose it's valid to unexpire on that basis but I'd probably risk one at that price.

Is this better than a Humax 9200 for example, should I give my parents the Humax and get this? any help appreciated.

The main difference is that you can customise the Topfield to change/add features, whereas with the Humax you're stuck with what it does out of the box (plus manufacturer's updates). I wouldn't personally bother swapping unless I had a burning desire to learn all about TAPs
