Just spotted this on Play.com. By far the cheapest I've seen it anywhere. Quidco at 4% should reduce the price down by another £1.

HMV - showing as out of stock at the mo' but if people wanted to take a gamble that it'll come back in (& they'll honour the price) it's priced @ £22.99 then with 9% Quidco.....

Is it really worth £25?

I watched the first half of the series before realising that it was terrible. The acting was attrocious and the storylines were generally very pedestrian or of sixth form English A-Level quality.

Maybe for a tenner I would give it a punt and see if it managed to get better toward the end of the series, but I can think of a good few other shows that I would rather blow £25 on before I get this.

A deal? perhaps so.
Worth it? probably not.

I'm always consistently amazed by how overpriced Dr Who and Torchwood dvd sets are compared to US shows - particularly when BBC licence payers money funds the shows, so any dvd revenues are surely icing on the cake. Even when they are 'reduced' they cost as much as most US show sets cost when they first come out.

I picked up Heroes S1 for under £17 a few weeks ago and got every season of Stargate SG1 (for under £15 each one), but I've not bought a single recent BBC show on dvd due to the exorbitant cost and the poor value for money (half as many episodes just for starters).

Absolutely. I'm shocked that the Doctor Who boxed seasons are still priced up at £45 or so.

Bloody BBC.
