OK. So i was looking for a real leather TV bed and was shocked at how much they cost. After lots of searching i realised that i had to make a few compromises and the result is this find.

The bed is real leather and looks very nice when up, holding my 32" Sony TV without a problem. Cheapest i could find this bed elsewhere was about £1200

The price at Very is £799 for the double and £899 for the King Size which are currently reduced by £300 each. However quidco is giving 8% off, so this reduces the cost to £735.08 or £827.08 respectively.
If you are a new customer and open a very credit account, you can also get 10% off taking the total down to a very respective £655.18 or £737.18. Even without quidco / credit account, this bed is cheap.
The above does not take delivery into account, which is £6.95.

Now i know this bed does not come with a TV and it has a manual lifting mechanism, but you are looking at close to £2000 to get this in a bed. It is real leather and is very sturdy

More details of the actual bed here

The Toronto TV Bed is a stunning real leather bed frame that will allow you to watch TV from the comfort of your own bed. With space in the foot end to conveniently store a flat-screen TV, this is the perfect bed for early nights or lazy mornings!

When not watching TV, your screen can be discreetly hidden away beneath the matching hinged cover. Pushing the TV back into position is easy thanks to the pneumatic mechanism included in the Toronto’s foot end. On one side of the bed, space is available for a DVD player, TV set top box or games console.

The Toronto comes with a rich, dark brown leather finish, and features a high headboard that will form a striking centrepiece in any bedroom.

Not an every day purchase, but a good price if you are looking. I just like the fact i don't have a TV on display in the bedroom!

Loving that you can put your TV in it!

http://www.tvbed.com is the supplier of TV beds to many of the major retailers (incl Dreams, Furniture Village and Selfridges) - I know as I have purchased 2 from the supplier. It was actually solving a problem we had as the wall in the bedroom was a good 16ft away which would have been a challenge for viewing a TV as well as meant that volume would have had to have been higher than ideal - I'm very happy with our beds.

Their prices include the TV and and electronic mechanism to lift or close and worth a look although prices will be north of £1500 so this deal you have posted is different but a decent price.

I was about to purchase this bed from http://www.tvbed.co.uk, that is where i have seen it for £1150. A lot of the beds that come with a TV are only 26"

the bed posted from very is the exact same as the bed listed on tvbeds as a denver, no tv inluded same manual pneumatic lift etc and they want a couple hundred quid more. so it is the same deal and hell of a lot hotter

why would anyone vote cold?

Also, I think the denver is fake leather and has smaller headboards!

For anyone that's interested in this, Studio (www.24studio.co.uk) have the same bed in faux leather as an online exclusive a lot cheaper, which I noticed whilst browsing through their offers
Double is £629.99
Kingsize is £679.99
Limited stock - Prices include delivery

Look elsewhere for a TV though! Studio are not known for being cheap, I only order when they have 80% off, or similar, but even then not many bargains!

Shame ya can't fit an acer revo or similar (no freeview in my area). Was looking at these sort of beds last year but didn't want to pay over £1000. Cracking deal.

i see the section for the DVD player but where does the box of compulsory box of tissues go?

Personally I cannot recommend the bed highly enough as well as the electric mechanism, not sure if Very offer that version too?

Be prepared to pay double the price for an electric mechanism! this is the reason i purchased the manual lift. To be honest, having a TV in the footboard is cool enough, an electric motor would be nice, but the TV in very easy to pull up even when still sat in bed.

I'm sure those people with a bit of technical knowledge could fit a mechanism, but I'm quite happy with the pull system :)
