Toshiba Chromebook 2 is due to be released in the UK in the first quarter 2015.

The Chromebook 2 has a slower CPU than this one, but a much nicer screen. Some people have found it a bit too slow (see http://www.reddit.com/r/chromeos/comments/2rkt96/as_a_chromeos_user_i_would_recommend_avoiding_the/ ), but generally people seem to find it quick enough. The street price in the US is $330 which would be £217 or £260 if you added 20% VAT. I saw a comment before Christmas saying that it would sell for £249 here.

Chromebooks do not have Java, and even though Citrix released a native chrome app, it only works if your company has upgraded to StoreFront (many haven't).

If you want to test it, install the Citrix app from the Chrome web store.

thanks, I'll try mine again. they checked stock and said there wasn't any that could be reserved in store and none in the warehouse for delivery.
