the only games i have ever played on my ps3 are, fight night 3, burnout, tennis, soulcaliber, fifa etc.

I mainly game on the PC, call of duty, xmen, etc.
I use my ps3 for streaming video content from the pc.

For anyone thinking of upgrading the hard drive in your PS3, it is very easy. In fact, the hardest bit is undoing the blue screw that holds the old one in as I think they were done up by the bionic man!

Once you put he new one in, the PS3 talks you through the rest of it, formatting etc. I was surprised at how simple it was (my old hard drive went tits up after the cleaner accidentally switched it and left it on standby for two days.)

Leaving it on standby for two days broke it?
I leave mine on standby all the time when i'm not using it.

You need to get a better cleaner.

Save some electricity and trees perhaps and only have one device on at a time perhaps? Plus streaming is good when it doesnt mess up but local media is always more reliable. With all the new features coming to PS3 and if you use things like Play TV then this is great... I was thinking of trying out Linux on my PS3 but didnt see the point on my 60GB.

Does anyone know if this HDD is any good - reliability, actual speeds, noise etc?
