Can't see any problem with this deal, 2Tb, USB 3.0 2 year warranty and delivered by a reputable seller for £65. And if that isn't enough there is also the Seagate at the same price, Heat from me.

    nice deal

nice for an external and usb3. 70 quid for green internal 2TB at the minute and externals are usually higher in price on average. USB 3 speeds vs a green 5900rpm drive the former i think will have higher transfer speeds

Two little mistakes.. externals are actually cheaper than internal drive these days. Many people looking for internal drives are ordering external drives and ripping them open to take out the drives for this reason.
Also, USB3 will be slower than a 5900rpm drive connected internally.

Tempting. Always seem to be running out of space. You'd think 12TB would be enough but no.

you don't think that after the data travels through that USB3 connection it ends up getting written to a 5900rpm spinning disc inside this external drive?

    it's not faster than internal.

Which would you go for, the Toshiba or Seagate drive?

I'd go for Toshiba if they're around the same price and have the same specs.
