I think the black one in your link is a 3.5" desktop HDD. I nearly didn't spot that.

Forgiven - based on the number of good deals you've spotted in the past :)

Maybe I'm being stupid here, but if it's an external drive I don't really see why it matters whether it's 2.5" or 3.5"

Two and a half inch sounds better in terms of portability to me... but I could be wrong - I often am! :p

3.5" is quite big to carry, 2.5" is very small

Carrying 7" myself...

2.5" is usb powered, you just plug it into your device to use.
3.5" needs external power supply i.e. needs to be plugged into a wall socket or suchlike for it to power up.

Do all 2.5" are USB powered. I never owned a portable HDD but I never heard of the self powered version before.

I posted this one as we'll yesterday as I saw it on ebuyer, looks like they have stock and amazon don't, plus ebuyer are still offering it at the same price with free delivery even though it's no longer on their daily deals

Ordered a white one through flubit. for £61.08.

Thanks OP.

thanks op,

just get flubit offer back for £56.77. I did purchase 3 items (6% offer) with them recently, this time I get roughly 13% off.

Hopefully flubit would not cancel order as amazon now has just increased the price.

sorry to hear about that, I already worry this morning while seeing amazon had increased the price. Flubit had cancelled my purchase before too.

Unfortunately flubit did not comply demand over the weekend (while the price was) I am thinking they properly cancelled mine too.

update : I waited and checked flubit daily and it kept saying awaiting despatch. As I was thinking any minutes the cancellation email would come.

but it arrived today by yodel (I did not check my email and flubit this morning) by surprise. Flubit did send me a track no but no use as it did not mention yodel at all.

the parcel is not from Amazon like and I do not know who is the supplier. It always show Fireworks merchant (I suppose that is Flubit itself?) on the my order pages and on the parcel.

Last time I use flubit, it stated Fireworks but the item did come from Amazon with amazon invoice (but not in my name,so if any enquiry, I could only contact flubit not Amazon).

So I am lucky this time. Thanks to OP. Anyway flubit is ok in general but beware flubit would do cancellation sometimes.
