This TV deal including the toshiba stand (RRP £129.99 on play) is the cheapest Ive seen. Was £429.99 on play last month but has had a further price reduction. Plus 4% quidco can get a decent 32" with stand for around £384.

Toshiba's 32C3031 is HD Ready with a resolution of 1366 x 768 enabling this screen to display a fantastic quality picture. This TV also has an inbuilt Digital Tuner and 2 x HDMI connections to fully equip you for the High Definition revolution. This TV also has incorporated a Subwoofer connection so you can create a HD Home Cinema System experience, the only way to watch your favorite films.

It actually says the stand is £249.99 (MV3C31) not the older stand you got free last month (MV3C30) . Definately not worth that but the stand is built for this tv so at least we know it will fit.
If I wasnt so set on a 37" I would get this but im sure it will be a good deal for those after a 32"

Seems like a bargain to me! Almost bought this in Tesco the other day for £450.

For some reason though I'm still holding out. Think I'm hoping if I wait long enough an offer I can't resist will come along (either a newer higher spec for this price or one of these or similar for 25% less)...

excellent tv - bargain

I already said that ;-)

This TV has to be deal of the year!!! It is a £600 Toshiba with a free £250 stand - how can you go wrong for that price, especially with Quidco discount too! Also don't forget free delivery - I have to buy this now before it expires!!!

No indication if its full hd or not though, so i'd assume not?
I don't need the stand either just need a table top one as i've got a nice tv stand already

Full HD (1080p) isn't necessary on 32" LCDs, as the difference isn't noticeable. In fact, with 2.35:1 films on a 32" LCD, a decent quality DVD upscaled to 720p is barely any different to a Blu-ray disc at 720p. At least in my experience!

You'll pay a minimum of £599 for a 1080P 32inch HDTV...

...and as said, you won't be able to tell the difference without your face up close to the screen!
#16
Thanks for this great deal!
Just hope Play commit to this deal, they cancelled the order on the last TV i tried to buy :x
#17
Im pretty sure they will unless stock goes. As i said, they have had it for £429.99 with the £109.99 stand free up until last month. They must be coming to the end of stock with these ones and possibly toshiba has an updated version on the way soon.

Im always put off getting a tv when you forget you need to buy a stand as well and they cost from £100 upwards. Its not the best stand, as in not storage space but have heard it goes really well with the tv.
#18
Full HD on a 32" isn't worth it on a set this size in my experience.

On a 37" you can see the difference, but where this screen is smaller, the difference is not noticeable.

A 32" 720p hooked up to a 360 looks much better than a 32" CRT.
#19
The last deal they did for £429 was the Tosh 3035.... Is this 3031 an older or a newer model ?
Because i've got the 3035 and its excellent.
#20
Not full HD only 768.

768, and 1080i are not full HD, 1080p is full HD (for the time being) although my guess is it will be upped to 15-1600 in a couple of years.
#21
From all the reviews sites ive read about HD tv's they basically confirm what has been said previously.

With a 32" screen 1080p is not going to make much difference at all which is why it is more commmon on the larger screens.
#23
voted hot! does the TV supports 24fps?
#24
Voted hot and ordered Cheers

some more info on the tv
http://www.pricerunner.co.uk/pi/2-906932/TVs/Toshiba-32C3031D-Product-Info

cheapest pricerunner can find is £454 including delivery at tesco but this is WITHOUT the stand!
#26
The marketing of Full HD is pretty clever as it adds a nice premium to a TV.

If you are only buying a 32" LCD TV, then the difference between DVD and HD content is barely noticeable. The only big difference is for gaming, which is the reason why I have mine.

From what I understand about the Toshiba C Series range yes! :)

The newer but lower spec AV series does not.
#28
The bad news is this appears to be obsolete? The good news is that the replacement is cheaper here: http://www.anything-direct.com/rm_direct/toshiba_32c3035d.htm
#29
Not cheaper after quidco and doesnt include the stand (only the pedestal one)
so I think the play deal is much better but everyones different :whistling:
#30
You could add the 5% student discount too to save a couple more quid!

Has anyone found a reveiw of ANY sort on this?
#31
Hot, bought this just now too! Been waiting for a good TV + Stand under £400 for while now....
#32
Has anyone found any information on this model? I can only find 3030 and 3035? If I can read a decent review id no doubt buy it right now.

[Edited - wrong model number - thanks Houdley!]
#33
Umm, this IS the 3031, so the 3031 review you found should suffice.
#34
Strange that there's not a single review of this model, bearing in mind production has already ceased. Even stranger to see a review on the replacement model, the 3035.
#35
i think its the same tv it could be a european model number ?
excellent tv I've got a crt toshiba (i know I'm the only one left) and i keep putting off buying an lcd but when that time comes it will be this tv

(They did get a 5 year warranty though )

They have a tendency to withdraw your order if the manufacturer has run out of stock or it's been discontinued. Well that's what they say. More than likely cos they priced it wrong.
I'd be more happy with the Samsung LE32R88BD (http://www.google.co.uk/aclk?sa=l&ai=BQNuVLmLZR7O-D6SewQHz_InKD8vD6TGP4KGeBNC_xYIQoO8PCAAQAxgDILZUKAM4AVDNvqT4_f____8BYLvmtYPQCqAB24u6_gPIAQGAAgGpAogh19xBC8E-yAKDrYsB2QMYE74AfA2g7g&sig=AGiWqtyVCS-HZ2HlilxV05_YkhagXEs42g&q=http://www.thelink.co.uk/index.php%3Fpage%3Dproduct_hitech%26name%3DR88%252032%2520inch%2520HD%2520LCD%2520-%2520LE32R88BD%26brand%3D%26type%3DPRODUCT%26product_id%3D142692%26srcid%3D198%26mctag%3Duk_15456) from The Link, currently at £420 after code, (32SAMR88). LATEST version and it looks the business.
Only problem is they use citylink to deliver it and they are useless!
#39
i would go for the samsung as well i beet if u google tht model u find loads loads of review
#40
so is this better or the one last month which looks just like this one and i that one was £30 more with a free stand?
