Don't forget 4% quidco saves another £17+

good price, especially with free stand, considering amazon are selling this for 419.99 standalone, no stand
#3

I can tell you why i have voted cold, because on the 18th feb im buying the samsung 32" from costco for £411 including VAT, ok it doesnt have a TV stand but i dont need one thats as vulnerable as the one offered because i have likkle children so mine is going high up on the wall. Also costco offer 3 year warranty, no quibble refund, so you could return it 2 yrs and 11 months later, still get a refund & buy more 4 your money.

I've got one of these TVs and they're great!

I'm not trolling, but check the details on the warranty - you might find that it is a repair only warranty meaning that in 2 yr and 11 mths, you don't get a refund, they send the tv off to get repaired (which can take a 'resonable time', so could be 6 weeks or so) before they agree that is beyond economic repair and authorise a refund (which is most liely to be vouchers for something else from costco).

Either way, the price is pretty much the same but without the restriction of having to be a costco member. You can buy a 3yr warranty for about £50 as you can a stand or wall mount.

Hi,
I have the 26inch bought a few weeks ago on special at Amazon. Brilliant set.

Also, if anyones interested amazon have the same stand for £49.99, may be of use to someone.

Is that really a reason to vote cold, though? Sure, it's not for you, but it doesn't necessarily make the OPs deal worthy of a cold vote.

Don't you have to pay to join Costco? Also not much use if there isn't one near you. However, if you posted a deal for that telly at that price, on balance I'd still vote it hot, cos it seems like a great deal.
#18
i'd rather have this toshiba than a samsung whose pictures are never as good IMHO. No reason to vote this cold for a different make of tv being cheaper
#19
£429 less quidco £17 = £412, better than a samsung for £411 without the stand and also this is delivered to your door.

Dont understand why people vote cold on the basis of a NON-like for like deal being £1 cheaper!!!!
#20
Superb deal. Voted hot.

Ordered one of these on the 21st Dec to replace on older set. It was £459.99 with a free stand included, so therefore this deal should be hot, but before you order...

Its now 10th of February and I'm still waiting for the stand from Play. I was told by one CS person on the phone that it would be coming direct from manufacturer within 7-10 days and then called back again only to be told that there was never any stock of the stands until Jan 21st. When I rang back on the 26th, I was told it would definately be with me for Monday 4th Feb.

I'm still waiting...

BTW, I have not voted the deal cold, I just have not voted.

i have this tv too and its brill, paid £380 for it from digital direct (deal of the week) and paid £30 for a stand from ebuyer. love it.

remember any UCAS card carrying folk out there get 5% off which is anice £21.50 of the price. Nearly all Uni students have one so if u have a friend, relative brother sister etc whos at uni ask them for their card.

Please provide a direct link if they are cheaper, as I could only find

Hiwayhifi = £479 hiwayhifi
flatdeal = £419 with no stand flatdeal

which makes the OP deal hot
#27
The costco is a no quibble warranty.

I once had a sony tv break two weeks out of the warranty and was told to take it back to the shop for a no quibble refund.

That is after i phoned the uk hq.

costco warranties are brilliant.

If you do want want to get it fixed?

Just take it back.;-)

Also 5% discount with a "V card", which can be bought from any chain of "Varsity" bars which are generally located in uni town/cities. The card costs £2 to buy and gets you various discounts in the bars and with other companies. http://www.varsitybars.com/bars/index.aspx

Yeah those places are cheaper if you're not interested in the stand. I thought the "free stand" was the little thing which keeps it upright, I didn't realise it was a whole stand which can accomodate a DVD player and such. Sorry!

looks like a have upset a few peeps! yes you guys are prob right, its not nice of me to vote cold based on my preference for the samsung BTW" I think the Samsung Pic is excellent, anyway I am an existing costco member so dont have to join just for telly,

With Regards Ebuyer Policy, I bough the 37" Hanspree and like you I found the pic quality very poor, within 7 days i returned and they refunded, no quibble. However I guess they might only replace yours now instead of refund as it has a 2 yr waranty. The thing I dont understand is that on Ebuyer the Hanspree has over a hundered 5 Star reviews and they all seem to rave about the quality of the screen. However, mine was really poor, so I have re-ordered one this weekend just to see if i might have ended up with a dud panel initially, if its still the same I will send it back but at that price and with 2 yr warranty thought it was good enuff for the bedroom. Having said this, i hooked my laptop up via via the VGA cable and downloaded a Hi Def Clip from the internet and it the picture was breathtaking awesome. So I guess its a gr8 tv but only if you watch Hi Def TV on it or of course play games.

I just had this TV delivered from E Buyer last week.... For £406
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/134595
I also bought a stand from them for £20

I've been chuffed to bits with both purchases. They were delivered in two days from ordering.
The TV is seriously good quality, and has more settings than you can shake a stick at. Hardly any movement lag, and the most vibrant colours i've ever seen on an LCD TV. Excellent contrast ratio of greys & blacks.
If you want a 32 incher.... Buy it, i guarantee you wont be disappointed.
#38
This was the stand i bought....... Reduced from £29.99 down to £19.99.
