This is an excellent price ... I bought mine last week for 729 from Comet. I had to haggle with them but Empire Direct have just opened stores and if you can find one within a 10 mile radius they have to price match and you get 10% of the difference (which in my case was an extra £27 off) as Comet are charging 999.99 for this TV.

All in all I can recommend this TV aswell as the upscaling dvd s360 (I think) from Richer Sounds at 69.99 and its multi region!!!

you can get John Lewis to price match this Tv from empire direct they (empire) currently have it for £754.99

johm lewis will give you a free 5 year guarantee aswell.

can you use quidco too? ive never used quidco so dont know if its good or not yet, suppose it cant be bad at all really. but can you use it on this too ? as im looking at gettings one of these tellys and more saving the merrier.

Yes, sign up to quidco and use it. It should get you 3.5% cashback... read all the FAQs on quidco though - I recommend you clear your cookies before making a purchase of this size.

(P.S. quidco is well worth it - I got about £200 cashback in the last year)

Welcome to HUKD britneyfan!

Thought I would throw my tuppence worth in, so here goes-
Dixons will Pricematch this TV as long as you find a retailer (either online or High Street store) that has the TV is stock. Digitaldirect (link below) currently have the Tv in stock for £707.06. You can then use the £50.00 off voucher and your Egg credit card for a further 5% cash back bringing the TV down to £624.20. Hope this has helped someone save a little bit more cash ;)

What a deal!

Wish I could afford it for my PC. We already have a 37" of this Model and it's superb!

Hi wonderbhoy, welcome to the forums.

I don't think you're quite right in the price matching policy there - yes they will price match in store, but then the web voucher would not be added on to it I believe.

They would not change the price on the web, then enable you to use further vouchers on it.

Thanks for your warm welcome Emma. It isn't clear in the terms and conditions what Dixons would do in this situation, so I reckon someone should bite the bullet and give it a try. At the very worst you will get the TV for £671.65 if you use your egg card and they price match digital direct

You're welcome :)

But the egg card only gives 5% if your purchase online, isn't that correct? What I'm saying is that the price in the top post is the cheapest you can get it online, then you would get your 5% cashback with egg if applicable (making it about £659.30)...

But their price match policy would not get you it any cheaper in store...

I love this tv,my hubby has just given me £700.00 budget, i am with quidco,so no probs there, but is it worth haggling in store with cash,or is this a waste of time? cheers for any replies & help....
#12
It's worth a try to haggle in store if you have the time, but I really don't think that you'd get it any cheaper when you consider the above discount code, and then the quidco amount.

I've offered cash in store for some large purchase in the last while, and the merchants aren't really interested... They want to get you on credit I think, and cash isn't the big deal it used to be.

 Cheers Emma, I have had discounts from small online companies for TV's for others,i might try that option too,no harm in trying, and thanks the great post......i did try and thank you but,it say's i need to get reputation or something like that....

If you've given me some reputation recently, you'll need to spread it around other members a bit before you can give it to me again. :D Thanks and good luck with the haggling !
