Now, this exact same TV was posted a short while ago by Hitheace at a similar price - BUT if you purchase from Empire Direct, they have a promotion on at the minute which gives you a FREE 5 year guarantee with your product! That's worth quite a bit, I believe!

This is the 32" Toshiba 32WL66 widescreen LCD TV (HD ready) - for £614.99 including the free delivery.Toshiba are an excellent make for this kind of thing, and all in all, this is a really excellent TV :)

This seems like a seriously well connected TV :p Very useful to have so many ways to connect to the TV as I have to use a changer box at the moment to connect up all my consoles and other stuff.

With the electronics market the way it is, there are constant changes such as this happening all the time. It's really hard to know whether to purchase now or wait on a price drop... but sometimes you've just got to make the decision!

Don`t Forget to go through Quidco for a further 2% £12 is better in your pocket.

#14
Im getting £829.99 too! :-(
#15
This is kind of odd, we're definitely seeing it at the cheaper price.. does clearing cookies work for anyone?
#16
Cleared my cookies, still the higher price.

And me. The link says £829.99. I bought 1 of these LCD's about 7 months ago for £739.99 from currys with vouchers and free delivery, which at the time was a cracking price as they were selling it instore at £1100.

I bought the WLT66 model which i believe has the freeview built in, not the WL66 which is on sale here. Have to say the Toshiba is superb in everyway. 2 hdmi slots which is a must these days. No picture blurring on fast moving sports whichs happens with alot of LCD screens. Also gets 5 star rating in What HiFi magazine aswell.

So if this is £614.99 im nearly tempted to get one for the bedroom aswell.

SUPERB TV.

Also have to say that EmpireDirect are a great company with very good customer service. I have bought an LCD and a surround sound system off them in the last few months. The surround sound system was not what i was looking for and they were more than helpfull at getting it lifted and swopped for another one without any extra charge. Not bad as im from Northern Ireland and im sure with 4 seperates to take back it was'nt cheap.

how weird. Have done a search for the tv on Empirestores site and only has 1 link which shows the higher price.... Can only think the £614 was an error?
#21
Ok Gary, post your credit card details on here, and I'll buy it for you!

Guys, I really cannot explain this. Has anyone tried clearing cookies and re-booting etc??
#22
Yep I tried also and I still get the £829.99 really annoying
#23
I've just tried it from another computer and it's still showing at £615
#24
Ive cleared cookies and restarted IE (cant reboot as burning a Disc) still shows £829. For info Quick search on Kelkoo has this for £593+£20 postage at digital direct (havent heard of them before but they have been rated 253 times on kelkoo and averaging 4/5 stars so sounds like they are ok)

But the big difference here is the 5 yr guarantee from empire direct, whch digital direct do not provide...

Good idea about the firefox n0chex
#27
The £614.99 price must be a mistake. They are selling the 26"WLT66 at £729.99 and the 32" WLT66 at £799.99.

Edit.....Maybe not as alot of places have slashed the price of the 32WL66 to around the £600 mark.
#28
I had the same problem but searched in froogle.co.uk for toshiba 32wl66 if you scroll down you will see an empiredirect link which shows the price as 714.99 with stand. this link took me to the page with the £614.99 price and 5 year warranty. Now even if I click on the links on this page I get the 614.99 price! strange but hope it works for other people too.
#29
£830 here with firefox.
#30
How on earth could the exact same link be showing as one price for some people, and one price for another?

If anyone is really interested in this TV at that price, I'd recommend giving them a call and seeing if they can help.

There might be some proxy caching going on , on some peoples networks?

Good deal if it does work.
#33
I've put the link from thegaffer's post above into the deal post - can someone who had been seeing it at the dearer price tell me if it is now appearing at the lower price please?
#34
I just arrived at the thread and have only clicked on thegaffer's link and it's showing £829.99. So maybe you need to do all the clicking through via froogle that Paul mentions to get it to work.
#35
I haven't been on Empire Direct for months and have just seen this thread. I tried the Gaffer's link and get £829.99 and then tried the original post and still get £829.99
#36
I was seeing the the high price earlier Emma. All sorted now thou. Link working perfectly. Now that was'nt much hassle was it.....:giggle:
#37

#38
