Looks like the sales are starting and this is a hot deal but post spoiled by the OP saying "just ordered 2, 1 for each bedroom"I find comments like that quite pretentious.

Yeah, I hate people who have two bedrooms too. Just who do they think they are, flaunting it ;)?

A 2 bedroom house isn't my idea of pretentious, that's what I live in, and I am the poorest person I know!
32 inch TVs in Bedrooms are pretty "normal" these days. OK I have one myself, not 2, but someone stretching to 2 sounds fairly ordinary enough to me.
Owning a new family car sounds far more pretentious... after all, that would equal buying FORTY FIVE of them, and plenty of people have a 15K car!

Are we all supposed to do the Monty Python Sketch thing now, "When I were a lad, we all lived in a shoebox etc"

Shame they didn't have more so that other people could get them. We were waiting for the sales to get bedroom tv's and these seemed like a good deal, especially with the 5 year cover.

I must say sorry to Mr Thermal Rider, I didn't realise just how poor you were and had no intention to show off my massive indulgent spending spree by purchasing 2 tv's at the same time. Damn us for working hard and saving up! I apologise.

Can't believe I missed this. Fits all the requirements for the kitchen TV, been searching for weeks now.

anyone heard anything from M&S???
#21
Been told delivery before Jan 7th but nothing else. Does say I can't amend my order so I guess it's going to be completed. Bit confusing though because they didn't seem to take all the credit card info like other places ask for.

Sounds like most Electrical retailers then. Unfortunately it's a long time since M&S were anything other than a very ordinary company :-(
Until you get a confirmation email, with any online sales whoever it is, don't bother putting it in you diary!

We spoke to the courier company today and M&S customer services because wasn't convinced it was going to arrive before the the 7th as they said. Seems the TV's are in the courier companies Falkirk depot but for whatever stupid reason (depends who you speak to) we won't get them until next Thursday.

Gave up arguing with them in the end because we don't need these in a hurry. We are back at work Monday so there won't be anyone here to receive the order so we can just return the favour to the courier firm and mess them about with failed deliveries. We even offered to collect from our local depot tomorrow if they prefer but they can't get it there apparently.

We'll let M&S know how disappointed we are with the delivery service they offer. We get much better from almost every other company so I think they need to review their contracts and delivery process.

They arrived today after having a word with M&S and the courier firm. The area manager of the delivery company delivered them in the back of his car. Set up and working in 5 minutes each, happy with picture and quality etc. Might be a tad too big for the bedroom and 26" would be better but 26" is also more expensive so will get used to these.
