Good set, just bought last week NEW from bestbuy (£190 after cashback) but this is a refurb and should be stated in title

#5
Could this not be cheaper with 40% ebay fees cashback from quidco?

Its 40% of the fee's.. the fees would be about £5.50 + listing fee (1p)... 40% of that is £2.20... not really worth mentioning

Sorry not a good deal for me. This is a great TV, but as you can get it brand new for little over two hundred notes, delivered, (LINK) Its not such a bargain.
#9
Where is it just over 200?
#10
Refurbished means it was dusted off polished - then plugged in to make sure it still worked.

£189 for a second hand TV is not really a bargain.

Just ordered one !! Hope its mint !!

I agree, £204 buys a new one...just gonna get one I think...

Ok, I read somewhere that Refurbed TVs are the equivalent of a second hand car.
So is it worth getting a Refurb TV say £50 cheaper than a new one.
Thanks for the help.

does refurbished mean someone's found dead pixels or scratch and sent it back, then the shop sells it as "refurbished". if so then these should be listed as grade b stock
#23
been looking at the negative argos ebay feedback, looks like goods are just returns (i.e customer not happy) and then in some cases they are just resold as is. Also some of the new stuff is not new. check out the feedback before you buy
#25
bought a tv refurb from argos ebay outlet less than a month ago (this one) and the sound has just gone on it.

Needless to say I will not be making the same mistake again.

Refurbished can mean lots of things. I've purchased four laptops from fleabay argos in the last two years and all were delivered in a1 mint condition. Returned one of them because i just didn't like it and argos collected and refunded without a quibble. Refurbs can be open box (i.e. not used), old stock, customer returns and repaired goods. You have to take a slight risk to save money but remember that under distance selling regs, you have seven days to reject a mail order item for any reason and the supplier must pay the return carriage cost. Therefore it is important to retain the original packaging etc until you are sure you are happy with it. In this case they are selling a large batch of them so i would guess that they are surplus/end of line stock.

Here is conclusive proof that refurbished tv's are NOT worth buying......

It is BRAND NEW with free delivery at £199.95 and if you use quidco this will be £187 yes it is BRAND NEW and not refurbished oh and yes it is the same Toshiba TV,,,,,brand new for less than the refurbished ones.
