I've got this TV, i think (although don't quote me) but i can do 1080p!!!
Also it has a USB input which is very very handy
#2
It may take a 1080p signal but it only has 1366x768 resolution (720p).
#3
Someone mentioned in another post that Best Buy haven't been paying their cashback.
#4

No Best Buy do not pay their cashback, so keep that in mind.
Mine was rejected.

Although even without cashback this is a decent TV for the price.
#7
Bought this from Best Buy and it had a fault. Five weeks on nothing has happened - still stuck with TV that won't work and Best Buy Customer Services are a nightmare to deal with. Unbelievable!

Why was it rejected?

Quidco state: "Cashback is not paid on Best Buy Entertainment purchases"
I suppose this may be the reason.

Well thats a whole bunch of reasons to boycott best buy, they sign up to the cashback scheme attract punters in, and then renage on the deal! They seem to have rubbish customer relations, I wouldn't buy anything of them with that rep!
#10
Can the Cashback claim be removed from the title please if they are not honouring entertainment sales. Its a bit misleading!

The hard drives I bought from them were not rejected through Quidco.

My Quidco has tracked - just need to wait a few months for payment I guess?
#12
I think Best Buy Entertainment means this site- http://www.bestbuyentertainment.co.uk.
#13
should get my tesco one delivered tomorrow hopefully
#14
Topcashback says 20.2% on Delivery order

Cashback is not currently available on reserve and collect orders and is not awarded to the added VAT.
150W for power is a bit steep.

It's not a bad deal at all, like you say it's a shame it's not full 1080p but good price and connectivity.

Bought and Quidco tracked... Been looking for something like this for the bedroom but nothing seemed like a great deal at this size. missed the Tesco one but this looks a good deal and even better if Quidco pays...
#18
Can anybody actually get a payment through? Either I've gone unexpectedly bankrupt or there's a problem with their payment system, as I've had 3 cards knocked back.

You can pay if you DON'T go through Quidco or TopCashBack, it seems BestBuy uses a referral system where certain items can't be purchased if you visited the site from a cash back site, regardless of if they are included in the Qc or TCB.

The Tesco orders from yesterday are being cancelled right now.

That's an absolute outrage!

I got this tv on the same offer in nov. The tv is good although behaves strangely after disconnecting it from the pc via the vga cable.
TBC has not even tracked yet! due date was 25/12
#23
I just paid for one after linking through Quidco, so it seems you can go through them.

Actually the resolution of 1366 x 768 is 768p, not 720p.

I ordered and bought this a few days ago. Arrived, seems good, very pleased.

Quidco has also tracked, fingers crossed that it pays out!

Bestbuy , worst customer service ever. Bought a fridge freezer from them advertised as having a ice and water dispenser - it didn't. Asked to return it day after delivery. Over 20 very long phone calls and numerous emails, they finally picked it up. 3 weeks later i am still waiting for a refund. Visa investigating. Buyers beware.
#27
1080p is not noticeably different from 720p at this size of screen. You would need to sit about 1 foot from tv to see any difference. Only if gaming or using as a a PC you would see a slight difference.

I got this tv from Best Buy last week,a great deal, unfortunatley, the tv kept switching into standby randomly,i checked no timers were set and then took it back to my local store.Worst customer service ever, the lady who dealt with me said that there was nothing wrong with the tv,i asked her to leave it with them to check the fault and she refused and offered a refund minus 10% as the box had been opened,i've put a complaint in but won't hold my breath,i'll never buy from best Buy again, they're all smiles when they're taking your money but it's a different story if you need to return anything.

Bought 2 for the kids for Christmas. 1 packed in with a dodgy screen but best buy replace it immediately over new year bank holiday weekend. got to say for HD ready picture quality, sound is superb. Ideal for gaming game mode. an absolute bargain. and best buy eat to deal with

Best buy - worst customer service ever. Bought £600 fridge freezer from them. Said it had ice/water dispenser- it didn't. Asked for a refund day after delivery. HDN finally picked it up a month later. Still no refund 1 month after pick up. Customer service are a bad joke.Endless emails and costly calls (mostly on hold). Failed pick up dates. Numerous promises to ring me back (they never do). Visa investigating. Worst buying experience i have ever had. Do not use these cowboys !
#31
So is it possible to get cashback from Quidco, if I order?
#32
BestBuy are a busted flush. Everyone knows that the cash back will track - but will eventually be declined. They do pay the odd one or two, just to keep the punters coming. CON ARTISTS!

I think we have a DSG worker who is bitter as Best Buy is a great company. Actually the worlds biggest consumer electronics company who are coming to knock DSG share price into oblivion and see them stop trading (ohhh how I wish)...

You have to plumb it into a water supply??
#35
You have to make sure you use the proper buy from reservation on the computers in best buy.

Some staff are just checking your reservation, and then giving you the item, and processing through the till as a normal sale.

When this happens, you reservation sits on the systems for a while and then returns to stock as never picked up, then the quidco will decline months later as it was not collected....

Quite simple really.

looks like a good deal, but does anybody know what the sound is like. also how many scarts?
#38
1 scart and sound is pretty good. I had mine delivered at the weekend and am pretty damn happy with it. Just hope the Quidco pays ok!
#39
If they have bad customer service and cashback won't track, then better to get it from Amazon for £229.99.
Their c/s is excellent.

There's a nice detailed review on that link too... Reason I went for the bestbuy deal was the cashback which has tracked at £46 so a significant saving on the amazon price. I have no experience of the customer service at either so can't comment. There seems to be a bit of negative feedback for bestbuy on here though... £230 is still a good price mind you.
