On the other hand, they honoured a Humax Foxsat-HDR misprice, which was £99.99 less £10 Quidco.

Ive had nothing but great service from them, next day delivery, reduced the price online a day later by £10 and offered 10% off too, rang them, difference debited in to my account without having to put up a fight.

Great service!

They cancelled my 46 Sony LCD without notice saying they had no stock in my local store.

I went in same day to find some on the shelves. Lying cowboys.

Won't go back on principle.

fantastic deal, great brand too

Does Quidco track with entertainment goods from Best Buy? I seem to remember Quidco doesn't work with televisions. Could someone confirm whether Quido works with Tvs from Best Buy please. Thanks.
#12
As already mentioned not the greatest TV but the price is definitely good considering recent prices.

I sent mine back due to damage and not being able to play most movie formats from a USB, whilst my Samsung and a Technika do. However, Bestbuy delivered, collected and refunded all on time and within an acceptable time frame, 7 days in total to be precise. Go through a cashback site and be even more quids in

I bought this TV when it was posted last time for £204 with £13 cashback. THIS is a bargain guys. Yes, its not a super duper high end TV but great as a second telly in the house. for less than £200 you cant go wrong.

BestBuy delivered on the date i selected on time and the TV has a gloss nice finish to it. One of the plus things about this TV is that it has a main power switch on the side. As it isnt my primary TV i keep it turned off most of the time so it isnt on standby. Head added

I personally don't think this is a great deal. its 720p and toshiba. I got my 1080p lg for £240 and I think I saw the same model go on offer at this price again.

But I actually think bestbuy are pretty good if they are doing the delivery. brought 2 appliances from them 1 was a hotpoint (indesit company) and the delivery was through the manufacturer and was terrible (gave 4 hour delivery window and turned up 45 mins late and didn't give courtesy call as I asked. Best buy gave 2 hour window and turned up bang in the middle with a 30 minute courtesy call and turned up 30 mins later. Also very helpful moving the appliance in.

I am really undecided about this tv. The more it goes down the more unsure I am (eg cheap means rubbish, I know it is not necessarily the case, but the world and his mother is getting rid of this tv at a knockdown price). I want a basic tv for my mum, but it needs to last the test of time.

If you are buying for someone else I really think it is worth spending the extra to avoid the headache of sorting things out. Personally I would always look for a cheap panasonic as they give great sd picture, great sound and most importantly have good remotes with big easy to press buttons. You might be fine with this set or many others for a similar price but I think it's better to be safe than sorry.

If you are looking for more reliable seller, Ebuyer have this tv for £204, so not a big dieference, and model which was posted 2 days ago was Toshiba 32BV500B not 32KV500B,

I have used Best Buy once (to buy a 22" Toshiba on fact). Delivery and service were fine, though I know many people have had problems. Other threads about Best Buy seem to strongly suggest they do not pay out on Quidco all the time - so I wouldn't count on it and factor that into the final price.

Toshibas don't get great reviews (though our small one is fine), so I think the question is whether to buy this now or wait for a good deal on a better brand, maybe paying another £20/30. If you want/need a tv today, this is a decent deal imo.

According to the AV forums, this is the same as the 32BV500 unit, though I can't find any reviews of that either.

I want one with HD Freeview built-in so I think I'll have to wait a while.

Ordered from ebuyer express on Friday at £204 - boo, hoo!.

BTW, used best buy three times in the last six months. Allv delivered on time in a1 condition and the promised quidco received on all of them (can take 3-4 months though). Have some heat.

Hmmmm some crazy resonses on this thread......

Some people get a bad service from every store, it happens no one is perfect. Personally I have had over a dozen home deliveries from bestbuy and have never been let down, they call or text the night before to confirm and then the driver calls you in the morning ti give an idea of time...this has happened every time.

Quidco has tracked EVERY time and I have been paid on every item that I should have been, this DEFINATELY tracks for quidco 100%.

This is a good tv and fantastic deal if you can buy a brand new branded tv at £187 come on guys some of you are slagging the tv off as crap etc but do you really know....what is better out there brand new for £187 from a big retailer with brand name.....you get what you pay for and if you are an officiando and audiophile then you have to spend an awful lot more but for £187 I challenge anyone to show me a better deal on a branded tv from a big retailer....

Get them and enjoy before they sell out.......

Bestbuy are the BIGGEST electrical retailer in the world, every retailer is going to get it wrong at times but mostly they are very good. £187 is a lot cheaper than £204. Don't be too naive about model numbers as the deal you posted the other day is the same tv AND more expensive and refurbished. I just don't see why someone is going to pay so much for a tv that may have been in someones house, broken down, returned and then sent out refurbished.....d'oh

If you've been happy with the Asda unbranded TV then you will be fine with this. It's really only the more audiophile/videophile users that will be bothered by the low 720p resolution and sub-par sound. Compared to the standard Technika supermarket TVs this Toshiba is miles ahead.

I bought washing machine from best buy and like most of the costumers still didn't get £23 cashback, many people complain about any cashback from them, so don't write £187, please... £204 +cashback from ebuyer and £199 is not a big dieference. You have wright that refurbished is just refurbished, but people are saying that not only Virgins are beauty :) Especially when their names are 32BV500B have good return policy and 12 month warranty and cost £189 compared with the next cheapest £239 at Amazon. I didn't know that new model 32KV500B is this same one like 32BV500B... Sorry...

1. Why did you not dispute the payment with Quidco?
2. Where do many people complain about the Bestbuy cahsback?

This is copied from my quidco account and shows the paymentrs I have received including Bestbuy, they also include a couple of declined payments due to returned items or out of stock items or cancelled orders I do not remember which. I have had every payment due from Bestbuy and have more to come and I ahve no doubt they will come. Why would they pay 1 person but nobody else? Maybe you did not go through quidco correctly, maybe yoiu used a wrong code, maybe it was an item you could not have cashback for. If it was then you should dispute through Quidco.

Do me a favour mate, you are pizzed off because I say that your deal for a REFURBISHED 32" hd ready 2 hdmi blah blah blah Toshiba tv is not a good deal.....IT IS NOT!!!!! Simples.....Take a look at the specs of the tv's they are the same tv with 1 digit difference in the code which you will find at soooo many retailers this is life. This is the same tv and via cahsback it will cost £187.15 cheaper than the refurbished deal you posted.

Don't take it personally, it is not personal, debate it, have fun with it, but don't take it personal. I have my views and you have yours, mine are always backed up if I am right and if not then I say so. I have posted some poor deals and no doubt I will do again and get criticised for it...this is life, they are just deals.

Have a nice day and gte some of your good deals going, you have had many mnay good deals...:)

Thanks for this, you have made me finally recognise that I am looking at longevity rather than just price :) Have decided to buy 'cheaply' from either John Lewis or Richer Sounds. At last I can stop dithering about this model!

Looks good for the price ?

It says it only 1 Scart socket, can anyone confirn, also with the USB, can you watch movies Avi from a flash drive, it says you can listen to music and view photos in the Specs on the BB site...
