I thought this was a great price for a full HD 37" branded screen.

Good price for a "branded screen"? Are you kidding?

This isn't just a "branded screen". This is one of the best 37" TVs out there - I have the 42" RV555DB and it is fantastic. 100Hz, wonderful picture quality, I haven't seen many that come close.

By the way, £560+ for a 37" branded screen isn't a good price really, lucky you chose this one ;-)

I mis-understood the term "branded" thanks for putting me straight.

The point is that it's a middle of the road price but a superb product. Worthy of heat because it is, and because it isn't a bad price.

Shame he chose the Dixons one though, but that's a personal hate.

Which makes it a hot deal ??????????? when you can get it cheaper from better retailers.

Sorry mate but you sound like a bit of a hypocrite. You don't like the retailer, you think the price is average and yet you think it worthy of heat. Please explain

I'm trying to cheer him up here mate lol

Ok it's not a hot deal for a Toshiba RV555Db but it's not overpriced at that :)

A 37" Hitachi at £568, now that would be overpriced

Or Elonex

Ok I give up

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/349440/toshiba-regza-37xv556-5dg-37-full-h

Its exactly the same spec, i rang Toshiba who said the variant in the number is just an internal thing to identify a slight difference in somthing like the menu colour.

Bull

The RV is 100 Hz, the XV isn't. Hardly a different menu colour lol

I appreciate everyone's mixed opinions...

I'm not too hot on HDTV's just thought it was a good price for a full HD TV with 100hz from a decent manufacturer and a well known retailer.

I don't watch sport - will I see the advantage of a 100Hz screen over a 50Hz screen?
