Price is £799.99

Cheaper at Currys with 10% off (£765). ;-)

Word of warning - these tend to have a buzzing noise with the backlight under 90%. At least the 2 sets I got from currys did. Currys wont replace now so am planning on getting refund and buying from other stores where this problem doesnt seem to occur...

Currys service was a disgrace as well! Think its the same company as comet?

Dont forget quidco tho!

i had seen this problem on the av forums, however i still ordered one and have my backlight on 40%, i have no buzzing. you would expect to get a very feint noise as im guessing it is the same as a dimmer? however no noise comes from mine. great set as well, looks very nice when hanging on the wall, out of the reach of small childrens hands.

Hi, Think that you've got the same opinion of Currys/Dixons/PCWorld as I've done on several occasions due to the distinct lack of customer service that they've offered. Quote the Sale of Goods Act and they will more than likely refund if you have had two of these causing problems.

Wonder how Currys.co.uk expect customers to go about getting LCD TVs/Plasma TVs repaired whilst under warranty. Some manufacturers offer an on-site warranty such as Viewsonic but I'm not sure whether this applies to Plasma products. Not exactly light-weight products to take down to your local store nore to ship off to a repair facility.

Does anyone know how this works?. Buying from an authorized dealer has its pros and cons at a guess. Possibly not as competitively prices as let's say Currys/Dixons/PCWorld however offer a better after-sales service including in-home set-up and collect and return warranty (perhaps Currys/Dixons/PCWorld offer the latter but I'm not aware that they do however).

Merry Christmas.

I have the 42" version of this TV and it's great. Can be a little washed out when using poor quality analogue input, but playing DVDs through our XBox360 today (thank you Santa!) the picture is superb.
My only gripe is that it doesn't have a memory card or USB input for displaying photos.

Buy a Wii then - that lets you display your photos quite nicely of an SD card/usb :)

Currys / Dixons use Mastercare for their warranty servicing , personally I'd rather let a bunch of apes attempt to repair anything than them lot .

Or monkeys, so they can pay them peanuts.

Boom, boom. :-D

Much easier to just stick a USB stick into my brand new (well my son's brand new) XBox 360 :D

You can also get a cheap Sandisk box that will accept any media and play photos on your TV

They have reduced their price daily and apparently service is great...

However,do what I did and get John Lewis to price match it down to 799 (Comet Sale Price) and getyour 5 year warrentee! :)
