Can't seem to find any reviews on google for this.

Looks like a great deal, but I agree with the above that if you go to the store, it may indeed be @out of stock' (lol) as I have done myself on various occaisions.

If I’m not able to get to my local store, can I reserve a product for later collection?
Yes you can, simply phone your local store to make sure it’s in stock and they will take care of it for you (in-store customers only). We’ll hold something for you for up to a week, all we ask is that you give us your contact details in the event that someone else wants to buy your product in the meantime.

No Freeview HD means you must buy a top-box to watch the HD program.
But the price with the top-box is still good.

Most TVs come Christmas 2011 should have FreeviewHD/DVB-T2 hopefully it's only a year old after all.

I'm betting on more non-FreeviewHD hardware falling come 2011+

gonna give this a go, anyone know what the picture is like Hz?? as well its not 100 Hz so what is it?
#13
50hz I expect...
#15
I used to like Richer Sounds but their customer service is p-poor these days. Their best deals are instore only and just don't materialise. It will always be out of stock and they will try to sell you something else.
#16
I've reserved this on upcoming stock, whether that holds and I actually go through with it I am unsure :)

Looks identical to me but £20£/30 more...

RS = 5 year warranty for £32/£33 pounds too, you can wait for 45days from purchase to get it too.

Hi Aurora,

I was sorry to read your comments about our customer service.

Customer Service is something which we do put a lot of hard work into and it is therefore disappointing to hear of any occasion where a customer is not happy.

Indeed, if there has been a specific incident that you are referring to then I would be most interested to hear from you so that I may have the opportunity to both investigate, and do my best to put things right!

Therefore, please would you private message me with your contact details and some further information?

Meanwhile, my apologies and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Many thanks,

Well if you want both sides of the argument, the staff in Leeds and Newcastle, where I purchase things from regularly are very very good, I recently bought a TV had a problem with my card and Gav in Newcastle did his up most to help me out, also helped me get home by ordering a cab for me not something you get from most other stores so put that in the mix, Richer Sounds have always struck me as being customer driven, I work in customer care and have spotted nothing wrong with the service given at RS.

any better deals for 40"? thinking of going for this.

I am thinking of picking this up today ... Any feedback please.
Thanks OP. Heat added.

Just picked this up, for £320+£32 including 5 year warranty

Annoying big manual tv switch on the left otherwise all going swimmingly well.

Has anyone got the usb to recognise fat32 drive/media yet?

Not much to say really, not as nice as LED of course but a good picture nonetheless, gui felt a little slow, disappointed by usb not being seen but nothing catastrophic, it'll be inheriting a SkyHD box with ex-sub free to view card, no itv2/3/4/E4 HD yet though unless you pay Sky, hoping next year that'll be fixed.

For those wanting alot more detail on this model and a pdf of the manual at hand:

(RicherSounds excluded an "0" off the end of the model number on their site/db etc)

how is this set for input lag, ok for gaming?
#33
Price has gone up 20 quid, still bought one tho
#34

Picked ours up yesterday. Very happy. Its our first large LCD TV to replace the aging CRT in the lounge so I'm no expert on these things but once i'd fiddled about with the settings a bit it was top stuff. The default setting (dynamic) was a little hard to watch with SD SKY, but the natural was fine. Alan Sugar never looked so good (?)
#37
Bought one of these yesterday as a gift. Seems to work very nicely - have tested using a HDMI lead hooked up to my PC. The 'touch' buttons on the front are a nice addition. It may be a more 'value' set, not having razor thin bezels and fancy 100hz tech, but to my eyes it is a great set.
#38
The bezel on this is actually thinner than on my "nicer" LED Samsung :)
#39
Just to update what I've done with this.

I have an Nvidia graphics card on my desktop running a 5m+10m (zavvi) cable down to the living room, i plug it into the tosh and it becomes primary monitor and takes over.
Using my HTC Desire + remotedroid i can control my desktop in the living room etc.
£10 of cables, no need for a console or revo :)
