1 Good Review
2 Mix Review
3 2 reviews?

4 Not bad review here

Toshiba calls RV its 'everyday' TV range, presumably because it's aimed at people who aren't necessarily looking for the ultimate picture quality – just a good-value set that'll do a decent job with TV shows and the occasional Blu-ray movie.

Not sure whether to go for this or the Samsung LE40C580. Anybody Know what would be the better choice?
#10
This is a great TV but yeah, sound can be disappointing if you're watching action films.
#12
Anyone know the best deal on a LED tv this size i prefer the picture quality.
#13
does this do 24p?

This is only 50hz, you might see some blurring of images, not good for watching sports specially football and action films!!!

thanks for your comments guys, ;)
I just needed a tv for watching the usual channels and the odd few movies and games once a week and I think I should go for this :{ because the reviews are decent enough for a lcd with hd freeview.
Dont laugh but i've still got a 20 kilo piece of history in my house and it desperately needs an upgrade. :D

Little comparison here
still searching for more..

Review here is full of little wingey moans adding negative remarks... but voting 10/10 and 9/10?!? not so for the Regza apart from it being abit more bulky / heavy than the others

Toshiba Regza full HD LCD TVs are really good value for money. You can get an excellent picture with just a little tweaking of the numerous picture settings.
#19
do u think robbo? i prefer pics on the led tvs?
#20
Is the cash back a definite? does it apply if you are using that discount code?

I bought the LE40C580 from Bestbuy yesterday (around £360 with quidco which tracked immediately) after reading this review: http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/samsung-le40c580-le32c580-20100728791.htm

Basically if you want to play console games on your tv then go for the Samsung, it has incredible response times for a newish tv. I'm afraid I don't know much about this Toshiba but it may well be better in other ways.
#22
hmmm the samsung doesnt do 24p... only the c530 and c550 versions of that tele do i think.

Yes, the cashback is like a "vat back" with bestbuy

This one does do 24p!
I am seriously stuck as to buying this one or not.. the HD content with the hd freeview has been praised highly.
I just don't want my nephew coming over with his ps3 and then it not performing well. especially with me being abit colour blind.

im not sure on this one either mate! i'm **** i missed the deal of lg 42ld490 for £399 last week... that TV is really nice, i saw one in a shop over the weekend.

the guy at the shop says the LG is MUCH better than the toshiba, but they didnt have the toshiba in stock, so that might be why :P

most problems ive come across during my research was the sound is terrible (REALLY bad), and the picture is **** out of the box, settings needs to be tweaked.

oh, and it doesnt have USB playback for divx etc... but this model does have a samsung s-lcd pannel apparently!!

dont know what to do...............
#26
bad news, the code TVA7 no longer works for this TV!
#27
Considering this Best Buy also do an Isis 42" LCD Full HD 1080p TV priced at £349.99 anyone know anything about this tv

Well after finding out the code TVa7 didn't work and the continuing price yoyo on all T.V's at the moment, I went ahead and bought us a 25" full HD 1080p Hanspree for £139 until something brilliant comes along.

Personally I'm looking for something like 40"-50" 500-600hz Plasma Full HD 1080p with Freeview HD Freesat Internet TV (wifi) 24p, with USB connectivity. I know It sounds like a dream but I'm willing to go around £500 for one.
Not bothering with LED or anything cos backlighting are fine on most TV's IMO

The sound isnt terrible its just not got much depth to it, the picture is fine for football, there is a very slight blur on 50Hz screen on football but nothing that is really offputting. I have no regrets buying this TV but it isnt perfect (no TVs at this price are).
