Bought this from JL for £50 more just before Christmas, brilliant tv once you tweak the settings a little. At £349 it's an absolute bargain.

Cracking tv. I got one last year, loved it, got one for the parents 2 months ago too. Hot price.

Saw some better deals earlier. Price is not that attractive. LCD TV's will drop in price in next coming months as new models are being launched. Would wait certainly instead of buying this one.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-42LD450-42-inch-Widescreen-Freeview/dp/B003H1048C/ref=pd_cp_ce_3_img, not HD freeview. but not as bulky on the edges. and could be slimmer?

I'm after a decent 40" and thought this looked quite decent. Before I take the plunge can anyone confirm that you can just use rj45 on the tv as opposed to buying the toshiba dongle for streaming films and will it recognise NAS for DLNA content?
Also according to toshiba site it only plays mp3 and still pictures via USB. Is there any software upgrade that will allow usb connected devices to play at least mp4 ?

I looked at this and I think the answer is yes to using the wired connection and yes to the DLNA, but with the proviso that your using Windows 7. I guess other Windows versions would work with tinkering, but not straight out the box. Also there may be some limitations on the formats recognised over DLNA.

Almost 300 degrees, well pleased! Got mine delivered today too, seems very good for the money. I got the 32" version just before Crimbo and was pleased with that, this is even better, but possibly too big. VAT free would certainly be nice.

Just bought this from Amazon, next day shipping so I should have it by 1pm tmw. Spend the rest of my weekend tweaking it but I hope I don't regret the 50Hz as I watch a lot of sport.
