Good price but awful TV apparently.

Toshiba can do better than the Regza 42HL833B. The scarcity of ports, lack of Internet features and average picture quality means it isn't as good value as it seems. If you're looking for a low-cost telly that doesn't skimp on features, we'd recommend checking out something in LG's LD490 range or Sony's Bravia KDL-40CX523 instead. Both these models lack LED backlighting, but offer better picture quality and more features.

Ok price for an ordinary tv, better than the supermarket brands but the original price is unrealistic now.

I done a search on google and these can be picked up for £425 inc delivery, so was expecting it to be cheaper on a lightning deal tbh.

Good price but quality isn't great, would rather wait a few weeks for something better.

I guess only 29.6% or £126 cheaper than you get anywhere else isn't very good is it?!!!!!!!

What your comment proves is that this IS a good deal, only that, as konimitsu says, the original price is unrealistic now.

Sorry my mistake was meant to say £325.
And welovetech were selling this last week for £280 inc delivery so I guess companies are now trying to get rid of stock.

It's not worth £539 anymore. Sale price of £299 is just about right as the new version is £350

In fact I think this is a Vestel TV with a Toshiba batch on it. If you need a cheap big TV now it may be ok. But if you want to use your TV for 5 or 10 years, you should spend a bit more for a quality set. At least this one has LED backlight - which saves you serious money in electricity over a few years.

The 40" Sony CX523s were available for nearer £200 in Tesco, they had freeview HD built in them too.

Must've missed that .... not available at that price now though, plus looking for LED.
