100hz not Megahertz.

This is a fairly old model, I've not voted cold though because I can't find it cheaper but not voted hot because you can buy one of the newer 42" Toshibas here for £664.05 delivered using code SAVE5 + don't forget 3% quidco if you have an account.

If you have to have this model TV then this probably is the best price around, butif you want a newer version there are plenty around cheaper.

This is not to be confused with the full high definition 1080p version.

This model (42WLT68) is superior to the model (42C3030) you suggest, that’s why it’s more expensive.

There are other Toshiba models just coming out that are true successors to the WLT68 range.

I think your statement is subjective, I actually own a 42WLT66 which is 1080i linked to Sky HD and it looks awesome, however i'd rather have a 42X3030D every time. The original post is for a 720p model, Toshiba replaced the WLT models with 42C3030D (720p) & 42X3030D (1080p) and more recently 42Z3030D (1080p). You say the 42WLT68 is better, if i'm honest I've not seen them all lined up next to each other to compare picture quality, however usually I would pick a newer model with very similar spec every time over an older model especially when it's £65 cheaper, for £80 more you could have the 42X3030D and that beats the 42WLT68 hands down imho.

The model you quoted (42C3030) was not a replacement for the WLT68 range, you only have to look at the tech specs to see that the C series was put out as a cheaper set of TV’s, or as Toshiba termed it ‘entry level’

To launch the entry level C series Toshiba removed the following features, which were standard on the WLT68 range.

1 x HDMI connector
The Onkyo speakers
And most importantly they removed the Active vision M100

The WLT68 range is only just being replaced by the new Toshiba models that are coming out now.

The picture is not the TV on offer.

I have a WLT68 32" and whilst its nice its not as nice as my 42X3030D :D
