pretty good deal yeah? the regza has been recommended by the likes of cnet. Wasn't this TV of the year by Cnet or runner up? If I was buying a tv I'd go for this.

Good TV for the money, but I personally think picture looks washed out. Everything looks like a NTSC American sitcom!

Wow, absolute bargain! This is a highly rated tv
#4
good deal shame its freeview though

Great deal and voted hot but it is worth spending more on a Plasma screen. I own the 32" version in this series (bedroom telly) and my old Panasonic Plasma wipes the floor with it in terms of PQ.

My mate has got one of these - this is a superb tv... I didnt think the colour looked washed out.
#7
I have the 37" and am very happy with it. It had a much better picture than the Samsungs I looked at, and paid the same price as this 42" one, so i've voted it HOT!

Why do you say that?

hot price for a 42" 1080p LCD.

I owned the c3030 and was not impressed with the picture at all although the x3030 maybe better?

My advice would be to pay an extra £100 and go for the new panasonic px80 as the picture quality puts many 1080p TVs to shame.

My brother has this tv and its fantastic for the price. His Xbox 360 looks amazing on it!

How do people think this compares with the Samsung posted here for £670 (scroll down for how to get price to £670)

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/150834/samsung-le40m86bd-40-hd-ready-1080p

2 inch smaller screen. Have never compared the two specific sets, but generally speaking I have found Samsung image quality to be far better than Toshiba.

#14

Contrast ratio isn't very good on this Toshiba TV compared to the Samsung one linked to in this thread...

Yeah not even close (6000 v 15000). Personally I think the Samsung looks like a far better deal.

I would still pay the extra and go for this though. Even though not full 1080p, far superior quality machine in my humble opinion: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/150392/new-panasonic-th42px80-42-inch-plas

Bought one of these about a month ago, PQ is superb, although the default picture settings are pants so need to be adjusted. Paid about £150 more than this too-so voted HOT!

What sort of alteration did you do with the picture? I expect to be ordering this in about 4 hours time. :)

To replace the TV I can't get from Sharp! :x

Yip same here. Thought it was only me as i can only get reserve and collect. Seems to work on a couple of the other LCD's.
#25
The code only works for home delivery. Coincidentally, alot of people only get the option to reserve and collect ?

What the hell? I was able to select home delivery just a few hours ago, but when I did not have my card on hand! :x:x

I got this TV a few months back for £820, this is a QUALITY item, I can't fault it.. and for £600 notes this is a true bargain! I've ran movies at 1080p through my windows mediacentre PC and it is stunning.
#29
Yes yes, but this 'collection only' thing is awful on their part. It simply means I can't buy it at all, because I am unable to collect anything right now, so they're just doing themselves out of business.

Lots of problems with the M86/87s Just got to avforums and take a look at the m86/87 thread (if you have a week spare to read it!!)
IMHO this is the best 42" you can get at the mo at this price and ive spent an age looking at screens.
#31
After complaining bitterly, it seems I can now order for delivery :)

contrast ratio means nothing anyway, different companies may calculate this in different ways to others to give an impression of being better.
read up on it

None available in your area.........****!
